Seems more like it's little more than part of a hit job attempt on Fauci that also serves as an attempted defense for how utterly ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ corrupt, inept, and sociopathically murderous Trump and co's COVID response was as well as an attempt to keep control of what people are talking and thinking about - away from the wrecking balls that Republicans are attacking the US' stability and prosperity with.

I feel like adding the note that the basis for HCQ's popularity was rather over the top dishonest, on top of that. Bad outcomes were literally removed on a nonsensical basis and the wildly inflated numbers that resulted were used by Fox and then Trump to falsely and sociopathically downplay the danger for political ends. Had the President been a Democratic Party President at the time, their tune would invariably be dramatically different across the board.

Yeah, you could have fired Fauci at any time. Hell, you wanted to fire him. But back then you had advisors who weren't complete and utter sycophantic goons and they told you straight up that firing Fauci would tank the market and the economy even more.
 
After impeachment but before conviction in the Senate, Donnie Trumpolini might well try any sort of wild-haired tricks, laws and Constitution be damned. But if the Senate convicts him, removal is immediate, and poof! go all his powers and responsibilities.

Or such is my understanding. I'd pray earnestly to God that I'm right, but He'd never buy it.
