What gets t me about Trump is he just does not get that a little humtiliary on occasion is a good thing and plays well with the non cult member voters. but his ego will not allow that.

All on point, except that it is not his ego that prevents him from having humility. It's his malignant narcissism. He only sees what's good for him at any one time. The rest of the world can go ◊◊◊◊ itself, he just doesn't care one iota.

I'm kinda thinking (with no real evidence) that Trump is grooming Rubio as successor. I don't think he likes Vance that much and put him in charge of Iran clusterfudge to punish him (who opposed it), keeping Rubio's hands relatively clean.

I dont think Trump thinks about anything but himself. The idea of a successor might not even be in his cognitive vicinity. Its all about him. I dont think even his kids are in the picture.

Trump remembers all the nasty things Vance said about him during his first turn, before Vance turned to politics because he has sort of failed at everything else.
Vance is pure opportunist, and I cannot figure out why Trump picked him, except he thouggh it might help with the hillbilly vote.
But the thing is NOBODY trusts a pure opportunists, that that is what Vance is, and most high up in the GOP know that.

Without actually disputing what either of you said, it's worth a quick note that people, as dudalb said, can be counted as communists fairly enough - the bar for advocating and supporting a true Communist state is dramatically lower than requiring that a true Communist state exist.

With that said, even with that taken into account, the GOP propaganda network as a whole has an incredibly terrible level of accuracy when it comes to correctly identifying whether an American is a communist or not. "Most" for Trump and the Republican propagandists understates the situation - their record is almost flawlessly wrong. Going a bit further, what the GOP actually works towards is remarkably similar to what turning the US into a State Communist country would be. In both cases, it's little more than authoritarian rule with a weak facade of window dressing to make it look a little prettier.

I overrode Fauci on this. His ideas were CRAZY! Also, I said from the beginning that the Virus came from the Wuhan Laboratory in China. Fauci strongly disagreed, always trying to protect China. I Inherited Fauci, who was there since the 1980’s, but with each passing day, relied less and less on him. He made too many bad calls, like on MASKS. Remember at the beginning he was an anti-masker. He then switched to a super-masker. In any event I didn’t let him shut the Country down, although he wanted to. I went the Federalist way, and let the governors decide. The Republican governors did a much better job than the Dumocrats. Fauci was largely taken out of play, and then along came Sleepy Joe Biden, who made Fauci a “King!” I called Biden to tell him Fauci was no good, either didn’t have a clue, or was dishonest. The call was well received, but sadly,

Fauci told everyone he was a great basketball player, so I assumed that he would be easily able to throw a ball to Home Plate.
It turned out that he was a phony on that, just like he was on everything else.
He was a terrible “athlete,” and it was, by far, the worst throw I have ever seen in years of watching first pitches!
