I’m starting to think Lutnick and Bessent don’t have a clue as to what they’re talking about when they claim the GDP this year will be at 6%.

Fox Business: "1st quarter GDP coming in with a read of 1.6%. So this is a revision down. The first read was 2%, now we're coming in with a second read of 1.6%, and that is actually below the range."

And early estimates of GDP growth, which the 1.6% number is, have a nasty habit of being over optimistic.

Apparently "decline" is, for Trump and his numpties, strictly a matter of visible aesthetics, and would never, ever, be measured by such primitive spectacles as a gladiatorial contest on the grounds of a madman's proclaimed palace or vindictive persecution of his opponents.

Page B-3 of the US Joint Doctrine for Targeting says the targeting process consists of these six steps:

1. Detect
2. Locate
3. Identify
4. Decide
5. Strike
6. Assess

For the target you have nominated, that process fails at steps 1, 2, and 3.

That's no excuse not to keep trying till your leg falls off.
