He'll be the butt of jokes for a long, long, long time.
He's been the butt of jokes for most of his life. Quite deservedly so, at that.
With that said, that may not mean too much in a climate where I have little doubt that Gore never stopped being the butt of jokes about how he claimed to have invented the Internet, even though he didn't say anything that could reasonably be interpreted that way in the first place and what he actually did say was firmly supported by the experts.
Because everyone knows that the gold at Fort Knox is the world's only gold.
And that there was that little actually there, among all the rest of the incongruities invoked with their dishonestly manufactured efforts to sabotage the government and country via rhetoric and psychological manipulation.
Repulsive. Just when you start to think they can’t possibly go lower.
Repusive, certainly. That is still

Yes, it's no secret that the Republican Party is actively seeking to sabotage the country and working to sell it by pretending that their sabotage will help the people that they ostensibly represent, but keep screwing over hard in a myriad of ways anyways.
Rep. Sheri Biggs on South Carolina: "Right now, we have one congressman that's Democrat. I think a 7 and 0 map would definitely reflect our values. We should have only Americans voting in our elections."

Whew. Lucky for her, she didn't say patriots, because then 7 Democrats and 0 Republicans would definitely directly reflect the voter's values.
