I would think only a tiny minority of the navy and air force are highly trained in the use of a PDW and quite a good number of the army as well.

Will they include the crews of ships?

And with actual discipline and training with the infantry trainer. Cruelty and crime aren't the same as being tough and strong, no matter how much Hegseth wants to pretend otherwise and is willing to sabotage the military and country to get his way. Enabling cruelty and crime does pave the way for lawless actions like... an auto-coup in service of Republican leaders, though.

Hegseth is a religious fanatic. That would clash with more moderate Christians.

Going further, though, the redefined far right version of the Second Amendment actually undermines the purpose of the Second Amendment, either way, just like the far right redefinition of Free Speech fundamentally undermines Free Speech. Well, Trump can't think of all the fraud, such as Kristi and Miller doing a little fraud and all the cabinet doing insider trading. But I though TRUMP was in charge of the fraud.

The hatred of losers has been a pillar of his policy, and a criterion for the faith and loyalty of his followers. The more he loses, the more he is perceived as being capable of losing, every minion a potential Brutus. I would like to see him die in disgrace, but disgrace is likely beyond his capability. Loathing, however, is not, and my fond wish is that before he goes he burns with the realization of having become what he hates most of all.
