More children and adults are being DIAGNOSED because more parents, teachers, etc. are AWARE of autism, you stupid, ignorant, POS. Kids who used to just be 'weird' still had autism, just undiagnosed.

Don't get sick in Minessota.
JD Vance: "We're announcing today that we have decided to temporarily halt certain amounts of Medicaid funding that is going to the state of Minnesota in order to ensure that the state of Minnesota takes its obligations seriously to be good stewards of the American people's tax money."

Dr Oz demands that Tim Walz and the state of Minnesota audit every healthcare provider who gets Medicaid funds in Minnesota "to make sure they're supposed to be able to be providing these services" -- or Minnesota won't get funds Congress has appropriated for the state

Vance: We don't want to do this. We don't want to be in a situation where the state of Minnesota is being so careless with federal tax dollars that we have to turn the screws on them a little bit so they take this fraud seriously.

If feds don't help you buy this stuff, will insurance plans, Medicare supplements etc cover it? They can be rented for some items.

Dr Oz, with Vance standing behind him, announces that "we're going to for the first time take a massive action to defer funds to a state," then details they are defering $259m of funding for Medicaid programs in Minnesota that take care of pregnant women, seniors, and people with disabilities

Taking the social safety net.
JD Vance: "We're taking the social safety net. We're taking something that exists for the benefit of people who can't pay for medicine on their own. We want to help our fellow Americans. We can't do that if those programs are being defrauded."

We love you so much we are going to let you die
Q: What is your message to the people of Minnesota who are still upset with the ICE surge? This is just one more thing on top of that
JD VANCE: We love them. So much of what is broken in Minnesota is a lack of cooperation. We would encourage everybody in Minnesota to work on the state government a little bit

Children just suffer for the greater good
JD Vance: "I guarantee their are gonna be voices in the media and the state of Minnesota who say, 'This is hurting children.' No. It's hurting fraudsters. The way to protect kids is to go after those fraudsters, which is what we're doing."

Q: How do you intend to make sure that ending fraud in Minnesota doesn't impact the people who are enrolled in Medicaid?
JD VANCE: The question is a little off. The problem is not going after the fraud. The problem is the fact these programs are being defrauded to begin with

My guess is this is just going to solidify Minnesotans, maybe the first state to seek to join the Canadian federation?

It's my money now!
Q: Can you talk about the legal authority under which the federal govt pauses legally obligated funds, such as Medicaid?
JD VANCE: Congress appropriates the money. We're the ones who actually make sure it actually goes to the people it ought to go
