In addition to a retraction and apology, trump's lawyer is also asking BBC to "appropriately compensate" the president. Ka-ching.

Ross Perot may not have been a spoiler, in either of his elections, but the possibility of a 3rd party leading to a split vote is certainly there.

For example, in the 2016 election, Trump won Michigan by less than 1%. Meanwhile the green party had roughly 1.1%, and I assume that if the green party did not exist those voters would probably vote democrat (since their environmental and economic policies are more in alignment.)

The same argument can also be made for the Libertarian party potentially causing the republicans to lose New Hampshire.
 
Absolutely! Which is why I didn't vote for Nader despite being a hardcore tree-hugger. First time in the Presidential election if my senile memory serves me correctly.... (duplicate to follow due to weird QUOTE in previous comment)

ETA: I used to work for a Legal Copy company that did most of the legal discovery work for Microsoft, including the Jimi Hendrix lawsuit by his father. The father won and then threw Paul Allen (who financed it) under the bus.

Allen originally wanted to call that weird building (at the Seattle Center) the "Jimi Hendrix Experience".

Believe me, discovery can cover a lot of crap, and I got to see (and hold) a lot of Jimi Hendrix's private letters, and his original hand-written song sheets too, and that was damn cool.

His father... not so much.

I quite like a healthcare system where we give treatment, rather than money, to sick people. You know, as if the intended outcome was patients getting better, instead of deciding who gets paid.

I can relate to that statement (former public defender, guitarist who has read everything about Hendrix, lived up the street from Seattle Center ...etc) Very cool!
