Trump's Second Term

That poster isn't afraid as much as they are disinterested.
Uninterested, I suspect as well as disinterested. I know it's a losing battle, and not a hill worth dying on (I'll save that for the supremacy of Nothern Spy apples), but un and dis are quite different. One means you don't care, and the other means you have no stake in it. The judge and jury in the world's juiciest murder and scandal trial is DIS-interested, or should be if not recused. But they certainly should not be UN-interested.

Thanks for confirming what I said.

And "sneaking in" is a visa violation, i.e. a misdemeanor. Sure, by all means find them and remove them. But first, maybe you should check BEFORE you arrest them that they really are visa violations, not valid residents or citizens. And that doesn't make them an "illegal" anyway

Oh, and now try to make asylum-seekers criminals. That will be a fun wait.
Are you not aware that a misdemeanor *is* a criminal offense? Also, I pointed out that sneaking in after being deported is a felony, which is another type of criminal offense. In what universe does directly contradicting you confirm what you said?

Yeah, and so are most traffic tickets.

I know, let's throw everyone who has them in jail.

That would solve all our problems.

No, they are not. Otherwise there would be no distinction between them.
You are incorrect; ridiculously incorrect. A misdemeanor can be punished by up to a year in jail. A felony can be punished by more than a year in prison. Both generate a criminal record.

Talk about being ridiculously incorrect...

Of course, you need to prove it first. You know that pesky due process thingy, but the fat clown discourages that part.

US President Donald Trump says he does not know who Changpeng Zhao is, despite pardoning the cryptocurrency multi-billionaire last month.

The president's pardon lifts restrictions that had stopped Zhao from running financial ventures, but it is unclear whether it changes his standing with US regulators or his role at Binance.

At the time of the pardon, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called Zhao's prosecution under the Biden administration part of a "war on cryptocurrency", pushing back on critics who said the pardon appeared motivated by Trump's personal financial interests.

"This was an overly prosecuted case by the Biden administration," she said, adding that the case had been "thoroughly reviewed". "So the president wants to correct this overreach of the Biden administration's misjustice and he exercised his constitutional authority to do so."

For a guy who claims to be smart and knows everything...he is pretty ignorant about what he himself does. So, did someone else sign the pardons?

Killing all the right people

Sen. Lindsey Graham to the Republican Jewish Coalition: "I feel good about the Republican Party and where we're going as a nation. We're killing all the right people and we're cutting your taxes… Trump is my favorite president. We've run out of bombs."

I've split the discussion about Antifa to a new thread here keep on topic in this thread

Serious people

Trump on Xi and Putin: "They're both very strong leaders. These are people not to be toyed with. These are people you have to take very serious. They're not walking in saying, 'Oh, isn't it a beautiful day?' These are serious people. These are people that are tough, smart, leaders."

Trump on Nvidia: "He's one of the great geniuses of our time. His chips are 10 years ahead of anybody else's. It's a great American country. It's now the biggest company in the world. Nvidia is really a brilliant company. The new Blackwell that just came out -- it's 10 years ahead of every other chip. We don't give that chip to other people."

I don't want to tell you.
Because he made it up?
Why don't any of these interviewers ever follow up?

TRUMP: I watched a show this morning where a very well-known Democrat Congressman was fighting like hell for men playing in women's sports.

O'DONNELL: Who was that?

TRUMP: I don't want to tell you. You'll be able to check it. Just check your local TV

Congress can't stop him.

A top Justice Department lawyer has told lawmakers that the Trump administration can continue its lethal strikes against alleged drug traffickers in Latin America — and is not bound by a decades-old law requiring Congress to give approval for ongoing hostilities.

Gaiser said the administration did not believe the strikes met the definition of hostilities under the law and did not intend to seek an extension of the deadline nor Congress’s approval of ongoing action.
