I'm wondering if this is a Project 2025 sponsored intervention. After all 'the pain of childbirth is God's punishment to Eve' so obviously anything that relieves women's pain and discomfort is fundimentally unChristian. Under normal circumstances I'd dismiss this as too crazy and stupid to be true. But now?
 
I wonder when Trump is going to withdraw the US from UN. It seems the way he is headed, and it would fit into the script that Hitler outlined with the withdrawal of Germany from the League of Nations.

Perhaps he likes the prestige that lies in having the headquarters in the US?

Or more likely some of his allies and even a few of his advisors have asked him not to relinquish the influence and power in being part of the security council …
I wouldn't however be surprised if he'd nevertheless announce USA's withdrawal, though.

Hundreds of federal employees who lost their jobs in Elon Musk’s cost-cutting blitz are being asked to return to work.

The General Services Administration has given the employees — who managed government workspaces — until the end of the week to accept or decline reinstatement, according to an internal memo obtained by The Associated Press. Those who accept must report for duty on Oct. 6 after what amounts to a seven-month paid vacation, during which time the GSA in some cases racked up high costs — passed along to taxpayers — to stay in dozens of properties whose leases it had slated for termination or were allowed to expire.

“Ultimately, the outcome was the agency was left broken and understaffed,” said Chad Becker, a former GSA real estate official. “They didn’t have the people they needed to carry out basic functions.”

Becker, who represents owners with government leases at Arco Real Estate Solutions, said GSA has been in a “triage mode” for months. He said the sudden reversal of the downsizing reflects how Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency had gone too far, too fast.

Indeed. From the Grauniad report, it sounds like it was a cameraman at the top of the escalator, presumably concentrating on filming what was below.

“A subsequent investigation, including a readout of the machine’s central processing unit, indicated that the escalator had stopped after a built-in safety mechanism on the comb step was triggered at the top of the escalator,” Stephane Dujarric, a spokesperson for UN secretary general Antonio Guterres, said in a statement.

A videographer filming the US delegation’s arrival “may have inadvertently triggered the safety function described above”, the statement continued.

First, the president of the United States "can't believe" a late night TV show host is back on the air? This is a major concern of the president of the United States? Second, trump asks why ABC News gave Kimmel "his job back." ABC News made the decision? Could this get any dumber? Thirdly, did ABC actually notify the White House that Kimmel "was cancelled?" That's horrible. Why would a TV network notify the White House that a late night TV show host was being cancelled? I think we all know the answer to that but it's deplorable.

It's past time that trump was removed from office for being dangerously unfit and subverting our democracy.
