That Guardian article says the Harvard letter was sent 'prematurely'.
Oh look, more intimidation from this corrupt administration.Leavitt: I think the president made his position on the Fed and Powell quite clear. The president believes they have been making moves and taking action in the name of politics rather than in the name of what is right for the American economy.
The president has the right to express his displeasure with the fed and believes interest rates should be lower.
I also spoke to Kevin Hassett about the fed. He's called into question the fed's Independenceand whether they are actually doing things out of the best interest of the economy or if they are doing it for partisan reasons. The president wants to see interest rates lower. He's made that quite clear.
Maybe the negative forecast by the IMF?In an hour and 15 minutes it has shed about 380 points.

Free Speech Party.i am not sure how accurate this is, but it does sound like a significant attempt to restrict free speech. This is focussed on restricting anti-Israeli speech (viewed as equivalent to being anti-semitic), but could easily expand to other areas where people expressed opinions contrary to US government policy.
The U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world's largest public funder of medical and biological research, released a draft policy early Tuesday that would bar universities from receiving grants if they participate in boycotts of Israeli companies or operate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs....Under the new draft guidelines, institutions seeking funding would have to certify that they do not support boycotts of Israel or companies operating there and do not run DEI or DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility) initiatives on campus. Those found in violation could lose their funding and be forced to repay grants already awarded…,For example, institutions where faculty members or professional associations support BDS may fall under this classification. So might campuses that avoid partnerships with Israeli universities or divest from companies linked to Israeli operations.
Even actions taken by student governments or internal committees could trigger disqualification, as indirect connections may be deemed sufficient under the new policy.
According to U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration, the mere presence of anti-Israel campaigns on campus — or a university administration's failure to clearly denounce them — may be seen as active participation in boycott initiatives.

WASHINGTON—Looking around with despair as he searched for an open seat in the Pentagon cafeteria, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was reportedly forced to drink his lunch alone Wednesday.
According to witnesses, the 44-year-old former Fox News host wandered through the lunchroom and took slow, deliberate steps past tables filled with jovial military officers who quickly turned away from him to avoid making eye contact. After locating an empty table in an isolated corner, Hegseth is said to have sat down and begun slowly unloading a brown paper sack that concealed a 750-milliliter bottle of Dewar’s White Label blended scotch, a 12-ounce Miller Lite, and an airplane-sized nip of Fireball for dessert.
“Well, I guess I’m on my own today,” said Hegseth, standing out in stark contrast to the rest of the cafeteria’s occupants, who sat packed around tables chatting enthusiastically with their colleagues. “I was really hoping to be able to hang out with all my awesome friends at the Department of Defense today, but there was only one seat left, and they told me they were saving it for someone else.”
“It’s no big deal, though. I actually wanted to sit alone,” Hegseth added. “But if anyone needs a seat, these chairs are totally open.”

My guess is that there was one of the logins created specifically for Ruzzian agents and it came from the highest level. As the saying goes, "Amateurs hack systems, professionals hack people." My guess is that the Russians found a minion and bought him (or her or whatever) off or threatened him or convinced him that they were the good guys. No computer skills needed.
I'm guessing he's going to authorise the cancelling of all funding to Israel, the world's most anti-christian nation, then?Secretary Marco Rubio

Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the king of kings and lord of all nations. This Holy Week and Easter, I call upon all nations to respect the right of Christians to declare Christ is King.
The reich wing ones definitely. The group says nothing about Israel whivh is running an open genocide against Palestinian christians. It's nonsense. Is Mexico REALLY among the countries that have very highly prosecuted Christians group? Catholicism would seem to be entrenched there. Even in government.
Wait, wait...
Is it actually a list of countries where US-based money-grubbing protestant evangelist cults are simply not welcome nor warmly received?
Other countries: "Yeah, whatever. We'll be over here when you've finished waving your tiny dick around."Donald on tariffs
"Other counties have to make a deal. And if they don't make a deal, we'll set the deal. Because we're the ones that set the deal. Scott and Howard and myself and others -- we're gonna be setting the deal."
Otis doesn't know anything, how can he train anyone?"You're fine, Heggy! We're just looking for a 'backup' SecDef to help ease your workload. Do you think you could help train him?"
They are talking about a big dip in the earnings...This could go in a few different threads but Elon Musk has decided to cut down on the number of days when he is an epic douchebag in the Trump administration. Sounds like the worst of both worlds. Not only does he continue to be the idiot at DOGE but now people at Tesla will have to spend more time with him…
