Trump's Second Term

Kash Patel, calls for “offensive operations” to jail Americans who they consider “the enemy.”

“We will go out and find the conspirators... Yes, we are going to come after the people in the media”

Also the Judges and people that helped Joe Biden rig the elections.

Well done America you invented the Gestapo.

Hurray for the Republicans

This should come as no suprise to anyone that's been listening. Donnie Diapers and his maga weirdos are intent on turning the U.S. into a failed state.

Like I just posted, I don't support the republicans who support that lying sewer rat called trump or the maga weirdoes either.

Now, what does THAT say about me?

It changes nothing. You're a member and supporter of the party. As I said, you wear the uniform, you wear the backlash.

Someone else asked too, what is it that you like about the Republican party that makes you a supporter? Oh, that's right. It's personal. You're special pleading for yourself. "I'm not telling you why I'm in the party of people destroying the country, but don't be mad that I'm supporting the party that's destroying the country because it's personal to me" is dog ◊◊◊◊.

So long as you didn't vote for Trump, you're alright by me.
LoL What? It's that easy? Cause Trump is doing this all by himself? Voting for GOP house critters and Senators, donating to the same, all of that is fine as long as they didn't literally put in a vote for Trump? Man, low bar to clear.

I'm a member of the party, but I would NEVER support a maga weirdo who supported that lying piece of smelly trash called trump.

If you or anyone wants to keep calling me a nazi, fine, but that says a lot about them too.

Hate is an ugly and demeaning thing, and I always believed that REAL dems were better than that.

Guess I was wrong.

They didn't vote for Trump, meaning, they didn't vote for the Republicans' choice. They actively voted against the Republicans choice.

Also, I know AmyStrange from many other interactions and subjects on the forum, not just politics.

What's a low bar is ASSUMING I'm a nazi just because I'm a republican.

I guess it's just easier to hate a collective group rather than keep an open mind.

Good luck with that.

I feel the same way about bigfoot.

I mean, I have real reasons for knowing he exists. They are absolutley convincing. But those reasons are personal, and you should just accept them.
20+ years ago I self published my first book. It was a photo essay about searching for Bigfoot in the forests of the PNW. I was a skeptic even then so I knew that BF did not exist, but I *wanted* him to exist cause I liked the romanticism about wilderness that BF represented to me.
I even discovered giant footprints out in the wilderness and reported them to the BFRO. I knew they were likely hoaxed, but still there was that remote hope I held on to...

At the time I asked right here in this forum that if you actually *saw* Bigfoot, would that convince you? Cause at the time, it certainly would have convinced me! I was shocked when some of the skeptics here responded "Nope, I'd check myself into a mental hospital!" I never would have considered that back then--I would now! Cause mental illness would be a more likely explanation. So I've come a long way as a skeptic, even though I can't absolutely say with 100% certainty how I'd react if I had a close encounter with Bigfoot out in the woods...cuase even if mental illness is the likely culprit, shapeshifting aliens is always out there as some remote possibility...

Same thing with religion--back then, I still called myself a "Christian" even though I was well on the way to becoming an atheist (now I fully embrace the label) simply out of respect to my Christian mother (who died before I published my BF book) and the fact that I believed in some Christian philosophy--I still do! But I now see religious and mystical beliefs as one of the primary drivers of the evil that is Trumpism.

Too much information? Who cares, life is too short to worry about such things. My only point is that we all have our personal journeys in developing our own beliefs and values, and I respect everyone's right to be in that journey how they see fit. How we label ourselves is inconsequential to how we see ourselves.

Thank you.

As a matter of fact, I rarely vote for a republican, because most of them are stupid

Trump on his anti drugs cmpaign:

"We have now hired a couple of the best agencies and we're gonna spend about $150m, maybe $200m, on advertising saying that when you take certain drugs -- the drug fentanyl, etc -- it destroys your skin, it destroys your teeth, it destroys your brain ... I think we can drop it 50% by doing this."

"If you notice, every country that has the death penalty has no drug problem. They execute drug dealers. And when you think about it, it's very humane, because every drug dealer on average they say kills at least 500 people ... I don't know if our country is ready for it. I am ready for it."

I just wish I could be a fly on the wall when Musk takes Trump down his first K-hole.

Trump addressing State Governers

TRUMP: The NCAA has complied immediately. That's good. But I understand Maine -- is the governor of Maine here?

JANET MILLS: Yeah I'm here

TRUMP: Are you not gonna comply?

JM: I'm going to comply with state and federal law

T: You better do it bc you're not gonna get any federal funding at all

JM: See you in court

T: Enjoy your life after governor because I don't think you'll be in elected politics

I see that "I'm going to comply with state and federal law" is now considered an act of rebellion against the federal government

Thank you.

what i'm getting at is if you're not supporting republicans, their national platform and policy goals, or the party leadership, it doesn't seem like you support republicans. a rino, so to speak.

ijust saw the CNN footage of a GOP House member from Georgia being booed at a town metting because of some of the cutbacks. And this was a solid red district.
And that is going to be real dilemna for GOPers: Thier constiuntes generally still like Trump but hate some of his actions.
My own theory: The congressmen will begin to turn on Musk, using the old 'God Save the King, but he being badly advised" routine

Trump is the law. He said so.
I'm old enough to remember when the legislature wrote laws. And, for that matter, set budgets. There was even some old document ('combi'-something? 'convolution'? Something like that) that described the responsibilities of the various parts of government. Not that any of that is relevant now.

Trump has no policy goals, his only goal is self adoration. Looking at the votes for Haley and others in the primaries, a solid minority of Republicans were (are) Never Trumpers. That's why turnout was so low last year. The flip side is that genocide-Joe and Bernie-bro Dems sat things out as well. Should either of them denounce their party affiliation?
ETA: I know for a fact some people who despise Trump voted for him anyways. Why? because they know that without MAGA, the GOP doesn't have the votes to be successful on the national stage. And they weren't ready to bury the party just because of Trump.
