Trump's Second Term

If the courts decide Harvard cannot have their 501C3 status removed, it will not be removed.
Unless the president decides once again to overrule the courts and the minions he's appointed to positions in Federal agencies go along with it. And of course it doesn't matter what some courts do if the Supreme Court overrules them.

If you keep jumping over bodies and piles of leopard scat, eventually you might have to acknowledge that there are leopards around, even if they're hard to see.

Trump: "Oil prices are down, groceries (even eggs!) are down, and the USA is getting RICH ON TARIFFS. Too Late should have lowered Interest Rates, like the ECB, long ago, but he should certainly lower them now."

"Like, wow, man! This is some really strong ◊◊◊◊ we're smoking! Don't bogart that joint, man!"

Rep. Dan Meuser blames Josh Shapiro for the antisemitic arson attack against Josh Shapiro: "He makes comments where he said President Trump is an existential threat to democracy, and he recently stated very falsely that President Trump and the administration was withholding funding for food for hungry Pennsylvanians ... when you say things like that, that creates hatred."

He's planning on being President again himself, he won't groom a follow.
Dictators never do, how could they be trusted?
Actually many dictators groom their sons to take over. They can usually be trusted. Would one of Trump’s idiot sons be a candidate?

Later today there will be demonstrations to thank Trump for raising the chocolate ration to 20 grams a week.

Regarding the alleged* crime of arson involving Governor Shapiro, may I humbly suggest an answer along the lines of: "We abhor violence against public servants, elected or unelected. A violent acts for a political cause is always wrong, no matter what or how serious the perceived grievance is." Why any politician would make it about himself or herself or offer an excuse is beyond me. *the person of interest is presumed innocent, unless shown to be guilty beyond reasonable doubt in court.

When his fundamental misunderstanding of how tariffs work first became clear back in 2016 I wondered why none of those around him (which at that time still included a few reasonably sane and knowledgeable people) didn't just sit him down and explain it to him. Then the first behind the scenes books came out and it turned out that several people, including the chairmen of the federal reserve, had attempted to do so. The problem is it doesn't go in. If it's something he doesn't want to hear, he just won't hear it.
If something needs an explanation that's more complicated than what's in a Junipr Infants my first book reading primer (think 4-5 years old), he can't understand it. I remember at the time that agency staff were saying his morning briefing had to be written on 5 pages or less, in very simple language using big font, lots of colours and pictures and had to paint him in a good light on every topic. Otherwise he'd just doze off and not bother.

It must be much worse now given how deep he's sunk mentally.

Prediction, there isn't going to be a third term, nor will there be an election in 2028.

There might be a plebiscite with a ballot like this one:
Anschluss-ballot.jpg

With men in brown shirts standing in the poll booths to ensure that the ballots are correctly filled out.
Prediction the second, a lot of the people on this forum will be those wearing the brown shirts. We know who they are, they know who they are, but god forbid we hurt their delicate little fee-fees by pointing them out.

Murkowski afraid of Trump.

This is a con, Ohhhhh I'm afraid of Donald Trump oh no so send me some money to "fight" him.Murkowski has spent her entire life supporting Republican authoritarianism. She got rich doing it. Don't fall for this ◊◊◊◊.

These days he is surrounded by Peter Navarro and other tariff hawks. To Pres. Trump, these are the "smart" people who endorse his wacky beliefs and convince him he must have been right about tariffs all along.

More broadly, I've heard lots of stories about people trying to explain to Trump how things actually work, only to be completely ignored, rebuffed, or dismissed as you say. I don't think we need to belabor how stupid Trump is and how smart he thinks he is. But on the subject of tariffs, I previously believed Trump actually knew how they worked, but that he just hoped his voters didn't know how they worked. That would let him justify a huge tax cut for wealthy oligarchs by saying it would be offset by tariffs that he claims are taxes paid by other countries.

I really don't know. I'm stuck between Donald Trump being stupidly incompetent and Donald Trump being deliberately and dishonestly obtuse.

Just because the suspect offender hasn't been convited, that doesn't make the act not a crime. A deliberate arson is a crime even if nobody is ever caught.
