Trump's Second Term

FINNERTY: We're hearing reports that 20 million people could lose Medicaid. Do people right now need to be concerned?

REP. GREG MURPHY: If we don't do something, this nation's finances spiral out of control.

FINNERTY: Are you saying that they should not be on Medicaid?

REP. GREG MURPHY: I don't personally think they're disabled.
I'd love to cancel Murphy's insurance. He likely hasn't done a ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ thing to deserve it anyway.

Wow -- Jim Himes during a heated exchange with Will Cain on Fox News: "I'm not gonna listen to to you tell me that this about a partisan advantage ... it is by the grace of God that we don't have dead pilots or sunken ships right now ... it makes me want to throw up to hear you turn this into a partisan issue. You just need to stop this."

trump is increasing the pressure on Greenland ahead of its forced annexation, now the sofa king has announced he will be going there later in the week, together with the national security advisor, and the secretary of Energy. This while Greenland is under a caretaker government and in the middle of a local election campaign, so no official visit is possible.

And back in the real world, battle plans and force assignments are still Controlled Unclassified Information and not to be discussed over unsecured channels. And I love the part where Sec. Hegseth says it never happened, where others say it happened but Goldberg is lying about it, and still others say Goldberg was invited and everyone knew he was there. They didn't coordinate over which version of "Nothing to see here" they were going to go with.
you think they would have brought that up in the chat

And Murphy has interviewed each and every one of them personally. So he knows for sure!

What a prick...

Just there to watch the dog races, perhaps place a wager or two. Nice island ya gots here, got the pink slip for it?

Trump suggests Jeffrey Goldberg hacked the Signal group or something: "The person that was on just happens to be a sleazebag, so maybe that's just coincidence. I don't know ... he's basically bad for the country."

It's a ridiculous statement. However, if it were true, doesn't that still show incompetence of the administration if a reporter can simply hack into their war chat? Doesn't it show that the Signal chat isn't secure enough to have national security secrets on it?

If I was in charge of Greenland...

...I would treat JD Vance as a visiting head of state, with all the bells and whistles. Do the whole state dinner/photo op thing. Have serious policy talks with him. Discuss the different domestic policies of the US compared to Greenland and what that means for healthcare, financial regulations, and gun rights.

Then, during a shared press conference in front of the cameras, ask him "So, how exactly does this 25th Amendment thing work?".

If they don't have visas, detain them forcibly in chains, and throw them in jail for a couple of weeks incommunicado. Then deport them in the dead of night using a bumpy and uncomfortable military plane...to El Salvador. They are probably terrorists so that will all be fine.

We need a lot more of this.

It that text conversation was not Classified, then the reporter is justified in sharing the entire thing with the country (and the world), correct? Since it's after-the-fact, there should be no danger to those mentioned.

i don’t think there’s a good way to spin this as anything but an egregious disregard for the concept of national security. that they’re that blase about military strikes and these guys are sitting here like “what’s the big deal”

There's only one way to spin things. We are the good guys. We do the best. They are the bad guys. They do the worst.
And Trump knows. Fuhrer can do anything, except admitting a mistake. Watch and learn.

Depends who they are trying to convince. We are not their target audience.
