Trump's Second Term

Typical Trump SOP from time immemorial. It's how his businesses have always operated. And now the USA is "one of Trump's businesses" because he's put new, fresh businessman ideas in the White House.

I don't know if that mode of operation - hiding transactions and laundering money - is legal for US businesses or not. I suspect it is definitely not. But I am almost 100%, nay 600% certain it is vastly illegal for US governments.

So I asked Google AI: "Is international money laundering a criminal offence in the USA?" Lo and behold, and with no surprise whatever, here's the answer:

So it's a criminal offence. And if Trump has facilitated this, he needs to be criminally charged. He already has 34 convictions for cooking the books. So this time round he should attract the fullest penalty: 20 years imprisonment PLUS a financial penalty of double whatever he scammed out of Venezuela. That should be dozens if not hundreds of billions of dollars.

Seems like a gold-plated, home-and-hosed, slam-dunk for any Democrat-led House to impeach the crook the moment they can. Let's hope they do, first opportunity.
Not such an easy case, he'll plead immunity as per the Supreme Court ruling about his immunity when he's acting as president, or some such rot.

Probably been said before, but Trump's proposed space force uniforms are self-admittedly based on the Starship Troopers movie. 'Cause, you know, it's perfectly normal to base your uniform on a parody of fascism :P

Hegseth could redesign the army's uniforms based on The Great Dictator. Jodphurs, brown shirts and the double-X cap badge. Very chic.

They will publish all of the evidence after the midterms.
At this point, sheer repetition of the claim has so baked it into the GOP's DNA that even the concept of "evidence" no longer applies- it's not a claim needing any such a silly thing, it's part of their governing philosophy. "Smaller government, lower taxes, electoral fraud by the Dems"- these are inarguable goals that carry their own weight, and anything that needs to be done to achieve them is fair game.
