Trump's Second Term

I thinkn
I think it speaks volumes about the Trump administration when we can look at an Islamic theocracy that has abused its people for decades and fostered terrorism in lots of other countries, and think "These people are still the more reliable than the Americans".
Well, no less reliable

Trump Administration to Pay $1 Billion to Energy Giant to Cancel Wind Farms

In exchange, the French company TotalEnergies would invest in oil and natural gas projects in Texas and elsewhere.

Result: A foreign company is going to be paid to build petroleum-based infrastructure in the USA PLUS given a $1 billion bonus. Meanwhile, said infrastructure is to process a product that is rapidly rising in price and dwindling in supply, making energy significantly more expensive and vulnerable. PLUS a reliable, cheap electricity supply is being withdrawn from US grids.

Everything Trump touches turns to crap. And everybody else pays for it.

Looks like Hegseth is getting thrown under the bus now.

Hi Petey! Here's a business clue: NEVER make your boss look bad. Because he's your boss, not your colleague.

Also, you should be tried as a war criminal and dealt with appropriately. But I suspect Donny will find a niche for you somewhere. Probably as dust in one of those urns on the Oval Room fire-place mantle.

Totally a coincidence.

  • At around 6:50 a.m. in New York, S&P 500 e-Mini futures trading on the CME recorded a sharp and isolated jump in volume.
  • A similar pattern was observed in oil markets.
  • Roughly 15 minutes later, at 7:05 a.m., Trump posted a market-moving announcement about Iran on Truth Social.
S&P 500 futures and oil futures flashed an unusual burst of activity early Monday minutes before a market-moving social media post from President Donald Trump.

At around 6:50 a.m. in New York, S&P 500 e-Mini futures trading on the CME recorded a sharp and isolated jump in volume, breaking from an otherwise subdued premarket backdrop. With thin liquidity typical of early trading hours, the sudden burst stood out as one of the largest volume moments of the session up to that point.

A similar pattern was observed in oil markets. West Texas Intermediate May futures also saw a noticeable pickup in trading activity at roughly the same time, with a distinct volume spike interrupting otherwise quiet conditions.

Roughly 15 minutes later, at 7:05 a.m., Trump said on Truth Social that the U.S. and Iran had held talks and that he was halting planned strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure. That announcement prompted an instant rally in risk assets, with S&P 500 futures soaring more than 2.5% before the opening bell. West Texas Intermediate futures dropped nearly 6% following the announcement.

So now it's his fault? Didn't Obama start this way half a century ago when he was a kid in Chicago? Or was it because Iran suddenly were a week away from having a nuke, even though Dump also promised he bombed that program into the stone age? Or, wait, wasn't it to save the Iranian people, since, you know, Dump cares so much about brown people in Islamic countries?

Seriously, how the cult can worship this idiot like a god continues to elude me.
