I mean sure, simple language is important for voters, especially MAGA voters .. but drip drip water ? That's his inner 3 year old speaking. Soon there will be nothing else left ..

I think Trump's change of attitude with regard to the Epstein files is the new "investigation" that was announced. Since it is usually policy not to release information regarding ongoing investigations, the DoJ might decline to release the files using that as an excuse.

Thus, his sudden cooperation to "release the files" allows him to claim "I have nothing to hide", knowing that tat the end of the day they are still going to be hidden by the Department of Justice. "I really want the truth exposed, but unfortunately this very important investigation is ongoing and it will have to wait until the investigation is done".

Someone in his administration probably figured out that loophole, and that's when Trump changed.

How do his handlers prevent this, short of keeping him away from public speaking?
 
A US federal judge says "investigative missteps" and "government misconduct" may have tainted the Trump administration's criminal case against former FBI director James Comey.

Judge William Fitzpatrick ordered justice department lawyers to release grand jury materials, including transcripts and evidence, to Mr Comey's defence team. The justice department has appealed against the order.

Between this shameful exchange, and the unhinged, deranged, demented McDonalds ramblings, you'd think, you'd think the sane press would get together, do their jobs, and force him and his minions to answer tough questions about his ability operate in, you know, reality. He is out of his ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ mind; the King has no clothes, and it's way past time to for him to be hammered over it.

Imagine the uproar if Obama had called a Fox "reporter" Piggy. Imagine the reaction if Biden had maundered about bombs going boom and skedaddling . . . JFC, enough of this ◊◊◊◊ already.

At some point, some journalist has got to call him out on his ◊◊◊◊ (their job be damned). I am appalled it wasn't done a long time ago.
(sort of ninja'd by Resume, but we posted at basically the same time -- I hate it when a Refresh comes in when I'm in the middle of a post.)

You know, it's almost impossible to believe that some reporter hasn't figured out a way to call him out, and even though losing their job, find an out through podcasting and other social media platforms. I know, it's easy for me to say, but for crissakes, this idiot is babbling about working the fry station, while finding the time to dismantle everything, including the White House. He's sent troops into blue cities to intimidate, he's ordered the extra-judicial killling of foreign nationals, he gaslights the public about the economy, yet nothing more than a murmur from the media.
 
They aren't releasing all the files, the Bill lets the AG withold portions.

Q: I guess I'm confused because the bill specifically says 'the AG may withhold or redact portions related to child sex abuse materials.' The survivors are comfortable with that. These things are actually in this bill.
