Trump's Second Term

Forget wars, the economy, tariffs etc.

Leavitt: At this moment in time, the ballroom is really the president's main priority.
It is a high priority. How else can he fund raise? He is not going to Mar-a-Lago much and it is smaller anyway.
TINY ballroom. Any other billionaire would reject it.

Reminds me of a story I read by a journalist who was covering trump during the collapse of his Atlantic City casinos. On the morning the bankruptcy court was going to formally turn the properties over to the banks, the journalist went to interview trump. See how he was handling it. He found trump in his office in trump tower. trump had drapes displayed on a table in his office, trying to decide which he liked best. trump asked the journalist which ones he liked.

The journalist said it was surreal. trump's business empire was going down the tubes at that very moment and trump was preoccupied by office drapes.

The business owner I worked for at the time -- a truly self-made millionaire (his father was a day laborer) -- commented: "There's got to be something wrong with him."

Isn't it rather because Trump knows that it will never go really bad on him: he'll be bailed out somehow. Instead, he is more concerned with beauty in the world, the simple beauty of drapes. Golden drapes, I assume.

He doesn't even know who he's pardoning.

COLLINS: Today you pardoned the founded of Binance. Can you explain why you did that?

TRUMP: Which one was that?

COLLINS: The founder of Binance

TRUMP: I believe we're talking about the same person, because I do pardon a lot of people. I don't know. He was recommended by a lot of people.

Autopen - every accusation is a confession.

Now several months later, how many white South African farmers decided to flee the "genocide" and settle in the U.S.?
Practically a rounding error? About 70 in the first couple months to some fanfare and maybe a trickle of a couple a month since then? To make it worse, the Trump Administration wanted to cut legal slots to 7500 total from 125K, with 7000 of that reserved specifically for those White South Africans.

No it did become terrible for him, his banks put him on an allowance of just $450,000 a month ( no joke).

Trump: “Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility - just off the Coast of Venezuela. Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. And we do.”

794. Q: “There are Republicans and Democrats concerned that they are not getting information about who is on those ships.”
Trump: “Well, but they are given information that they are loaded up with drugs, and that’s the thing that matters.”

795. Q: “Why did you authorize the CIA to go into Venezuela?”
Trump: “They have emptied their prisons into the US. Prisoners from mental institutions, insane asylums ...”

796. Trump: “The people of Chicago are walking around with MAGA hats. You have women, beautiful Black women, walking around with MAGA hats. ‘Please let the president in and we don’t care how he does it ... bring in the Marines.’”

797. Trump on the government shutdown: “We have the people that we want paid, paid. We want the FBI paid...We’re getting rid of programs that we didn’t like...They’re going to be terminated on a permanent basis, and it’s thousands of people...tremendous numbers of Democrat projects

798. Trump on Schumer: “I think he’s losing IQ points with time. I think that happens. I hope it hasn’t happened with me. I know if it did, you guys would let me know about it very quickly.”

799. Trump: “Boston had a bad mayor who at least is a reasonable IQ person. Most of them are low IQ. I mean, what’s going on in Chicago ... “

800. Trump on Biden and Jack Smith: “I think it was the worst weaponization of a political opponent in the history of the world ... Deranged Jack Smith in my opinion is a criminal. I hope they’re gonna look into Weissmann too ... Lisa Monaco should be looked at very strongly.”

801. Trump: “They have committed massive political crime. I hope they’re looking at Schifty Schiff. I hope they’re looking at all these people. And I’m allowed to find out. I’m in theory the chief law enforcement officer.”

802. Trump at a press conference with the U.S. Attorney General and the Director of the FBI: “Deranged Jack Smith, in my opinion, is a criminal. His interviewer was Weissmann. I hope they’re going to look into Weissmann too. Weissmann’s a bad guy. And he had somebody, Lisa, who was his puppet, worked in the office really as the top person — and I think she should be looked at very strongly. There was tremendous criminal activity...They have committed massive political crime. I hope they’re looking at Shifty Schiff. I hope they’re looking at all these people. And I’m allowed to find out — I’m, in theory, the chief law enforcement officer.”

803. Trump: “Somebody said, ‘would we think about taking the World Cup away from Boston if they don’t straighten it out?’ The answer is yes. We have the right to do that with FIFA. So if we think that LA is gonna be bad, or that applies a little bit to the Olympics too.”

804. Trump: I never thought we’d go into every city and make them safe. Now it’s like a passion for me and it’s a passion for the people behind me.

805. Trump: “I won Georgia three times. But they say twice. I won it big the second time but we had criminals that didn’t allow -- I hope they’re gonna go into that. I hope they go into the votes which are being stored in Fulton County and take a real look at those votes, because I won it the second time too.”

806. Trump: “The project in New York—it is billions and billions of dollars of that Schumer has worked 20 years to get. It is terminated.”

807. Trump on tariffs: “We’re allowed to do whatever we want. We just had presidents that didn’t want to do it for whatever reason. Of the eight wars, tariffs are directly responsible for me ending 6 of them. 5 or 6.”

808. Trump: “A new thing is you build a super modern building next to an old-fashioned building and I think that’s good but I don’t have the courage to do that with the white house. It’s good for a lot of places. It’s not good for here. We will be able to have state dinners. We would literally not even have state dinners because it is not set up.”

809. Trump: “You build what’s called a reverse bathtub. And it’s not that uncommon, but it is actually a reverse—you, you seal it. The problem is, nature always wins. I know a lot about reverse bathtubs. I’ve done it, and it’s something you only do in emergency.”

810. JD Vance: “Because we have such a big problem with left-wing political violence, we have to train the investigatory and law enforcement powers of the government to focus on that particular problem ... we really have to retrain the entire government to focus on this left-wing violence problem. We are doing it.”

811. Sean Duffy: “We are gonna save billions of dollars by getting rid of the fuel economy standards that are set way too high, that no combustion engine can meet, costing each car to the tune of thousands of dollars for the end consumer. We’re in the process of getting rid of those rules.”

812. Cruz: “Follow the money. Cut off the money. You look at this No Kings rally—there’s considerable evidence that George Soros and his network is behind funding these rallies which may well turn into riots. I’ve introduced legislation that would allow DOJ to use RICO to prosecute the money that is funding these No Kings Protests.”

813. Homan: “If the hateful rhetoric continues, there will be bloodshed. People are going to die ... there is going to be more bloodshed unless this hateful rhetoric stops.”

Because trump knows it will never really go bad for him? Sorry. I'm going to stick with my former Boss's thought: Got to be something wrong with him. ;)

Something major has to happen soon that severely limits Trump. Otherwise I am going to start falling into the crowd that says there will be no 2026 election.

I have to say this is about as depressing as Trump ever got for me. MAGA voters will take years to learn.
As I've said here repeatedly, there definitely WILL be a 2026 election. Authoritarian dictators ALWAYS have elections.
Free and fair elections, not so much.

No it did become terrible for him, his banks put him on an allowance of just $450,000 a month ( no joke).
They took his super yacht off him though.
Well, Adnan Khashoggi's old yacht the Nabila. Largest in the world when launched.

Khashoggi ran into financial problems and sold the it to the Sultan of Brunei, who in turn sold it to Donald Trump for $29 million. Trump renamed it Trump Princess. It was taken when he went bankrupt and was sold on for $20 millions.

Queen wrote the song "Khashoggi's Ship" on The Miracle album about it.

Just kill people.

Trump: "I don't think we're necessarily going to ask for a declaration of war, I think we're just gonna kill people that are bringing drugs into our country. We're going to kill them. They're going to be, like dead."
Just killing people is murder. People who do it are murderers.

I can say it again more slowly if it was confusing.

Not to mention that when politicians say a project like this will be entirely privately funded they're usually lying. In the UK, Boris Johnson's 'privately funded' Garden Bridge ended up costing taxpayers £43 million despite the fact that not one brick was layed.

Didn't you know, Soros is paying for it.
