The word that came to my mind last night was “addled”.

Nothing new, but his recent disjointed rattling on about how much he’s going to cause drug prices to drop is a prime example.

“We’re gonna get the drug prices down. Not 30% or 40%, which would be great. Not 50% or 60%. No, we’re gonna get them down 1,000%, 600%, 500%, 1,500%…”

I can’t even figure out how that would work. How much would you pay for a $100 drug after the price dropped 1,500%? I mean, dropping it 100% would make it free, right? Beyond that, what? They pay you to get the drug?

You're assuming Trump understands basic mathematics. He probably just thought 'bigger number better' unlike how he thinks about the age of women, and left it at that.

I think a lot of that is just clickbait headline tactic, cause it aint new or fresh. I grew up in NY and most of the 'new' stuff I clearly remember from years ago. A lot of it even did come out even pre 2016, but it never stuck because the left and dems never had an organized attack 'machine' in place, so it wasn't splattered all over social media outlets.
But I do think the current 'scandal' is an opportunity for truly new evidence to come to light, because it provides a bit of cover for victims. I can think of several cases where a powerful man is accused of sexual assault or similar, and once one victim comes forward, others feel empowered to come forward. This can happen years after the incident. If *enough* come forward, it can no longer be ignored or brushed aside, That is where accountability begins.

In "idiot math", a 1,000% reduction is reducing something to 1/10 of its previous price, a 1,500% reduction is reducing it to 1/15 of its original price and so on.

I effect it's presenting the old price in relation to the new price....

It was £10, it's now £1 so working it backwards, if it was raised from £1 to £10 it'd be a 1,000% increase so dropping it from £10 to £1 is a 1,000% decrease.

I mean it's all nonsense anyway, there'll be no significant reduction in drug prices as a result.
