My state automatically enrolls anyone who gets a drivers license, I think. They could enroll online, on their phone, for free.
Other countries seem to be able to manage it. Like this: https://www.aec.gov.au/ENROL/
But that ruins the entire point! Anyone would be able to voteMake the ID absolutely free, incredibly simple and easy to get for people who don't have cars and robustly fund advertising programs to remind people they need them many months ahead of voting and I'm on board.
!Except for the whole constitutional amendment process, yeah.

Alas, you have very poor judgement.
I say that 106 legislators signing on to this has to be a result of fear of being "primaried", because there's no way 106 legislators could be this stupid.
Because of course: "Stephen Miller on Fox & Friends says "an alternative" group of electors is also voting today:
"As we speak, an alternate slate of electors in the contested states is going to vote and we are going to send those results to Congress.""

Amazing none of the losers of the previous elections thought of that!
(Since 1876 anyway ...)
Do we have a sensible source on this? Who is appointing the slate of electors, and under what authority?

After the presidential election, the Governor of your State prepares seven Certificates of Ascertainment. “As soon as practicable,” after the election results in your State are certified, the Governor sends one of those original Certificates of Ascertainment to the Archivist.

December 14, 2020—electors vote in their States
The electors meet in their respective States and vote for President and Vice President on separate ballots. The electors record their votes on six Certificates of Vote, which are paired with the six remaining Certificates of Ascertainment. The electors sign, seal, and certify six sets of electoral votes. A set of electoral votes consists of one Certificate of Ascertainment and one Certificate of Vote.

If you want to watch the Electoral College results as they happen:

The source on what?
That Miller said it: see the video embedded in the linked tweet.
That it could work: no, it can't. Trump can name all the electors he wants in any state he wants, their vote is worthless without the "Certificate of Ascertainment" signed by the Governor.
From an official source, US Archives:

He needs to be publicly challenged on his claims.
I have no other source than Miller. We'll see if he was making it up (I know, quite inconceivable) or not.More wanting a source besides Miller that anyone is in fact "appointing" alternate electors... curious who specifically is "appointing" these electors and what authority they CLAIM. I'm aware they have no real authority.
CNN has a page that looks like it's reporting electoral votes live, as they happen. Right now it shows Biden 3, Trump 0. (Vermont is the first state to report.)
