Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, who plans to challenge the Electoral vote in the House (link is to AL.com)-
All those angry "the media doesn't get to pick the president!" blurbs were apparently just the lead-up to "and neither do the voters!"
But the really good part is his "reasoning" behind all this-
"Possible bonus"- uh huh, pull the other one. He's also said,
quoted here (Newsweek)-
Note how neatly he combines two current GOP memes into one, without offering any evidence that either thing is true, much less the mashup he's created- that there was "easy" and "extraordinary" voter fraud, and that a significant amount of it was due to teh illegalz. Since he doesn't
need to offer any evidence to the House to back his objection, he's all good there. And, of course, it goes without saying that the people in Alabama that he's really aiming this at are not going to ask for any evidence for it, so he's even better off there- he can win re-elections long into the foreseeable future just on the strength of "I tried to stop the soshalust steal!" in Alabama.
