Trump sues airport.

I checked, and one of the instrument approaches used for the Palm Beach County Airport does take one in from the west in order to get to the airport. Therefore, it is quite likely that some of the planes landing at that airport do fly over (or at least fly near) the Trump mansion.

However, it is quite unlikely that the FAA would design instrument approach procedures just to tick off Donald Trump and/or make life noisy for those living a particular place.

As such, Trump, as usual, is full of himself instead of having facts on his side.

Have to correct something from the OP, which is relevant to you comment -- Trump's Shack is east of the airport, not west -- unless the airport is on an island off the coast where that beachfront property is situated.

Thanks for correcting the OP, but there is another instrument approach procedure for this airport where one comes into the airport from the east. Therefore, I still expect that some of the planes landing at this airport do fly over (or least near) Trump's mansion when landing at that airport.

But in any case, the FAA would not develop an instrument approach procedure just to irrate someone. I am sure that is the sort of thing that Trump would do, but the FAA would not personalize things the way that Trump so often does.

By the way, this airport does already have noise abatement procedures.

Speaking of ongoing Trump sagas, whatever happened to that cadre of investigators he was sending out to get definitive evidence for Obama being non-American? Did they get lost?

Florida has the oldest European settlement in the continental USA, St. Augustine, 1565.

(cough) Leif Ericsson (cough)

Or are you relying upon limited archaeological evidence as yet for mainland settlements?

Either way, 1927 or thereby wouldn't be the fifth oldest house in my street, never mind county!

Insert "permanent" there, it'll work. The Norse colony(ies?) were fairly short-lived.

I suspect not many of them were built by well-known architects for famous rich people. (I think this is one of the main qualifications to be on the NR.)

But if historical landmark is comparable to a Grade I listing, there are plenty of modern buildings with that designation and in any case a building or structure doesn't have to be ancient to be historic. I'd suggest, among many, many other candidates that the London Cenotaph and the code breaking sheds at Bletchley Park would count as historic without being particularly ancient.

Have you guys ever heard of a Wind Rose, or Compass rose?

It's a compass lay out with the percentage of the time that the wind comes from any particular point of the compass.

Runways are not laid out to suit the whim of the planners, but to suit the local wind. Runways are laid out so that the most common take off and landings happen into the wind. It helps planes fly by adding wind speed rather than subtracting . Frinstance, a small plane that can take off at 50 mph air speed would need 60 mph ground speed if going down wind. But into the wind, only 40 mph. That 50% improvement means a LOT for airplanes.

Most places, the most common wind directions are reversible, with only rarer storm conditions at right angles. So, east/west are common take off directions. And the only time the tower has any choice is on still days. Or in the unusuall incident that the wind is exactly perpendicular to the runway. Less than perpendicular is a slam dunk for e/w.

So no, the controllers are NOT intentionally guiding planes of El Donde Trump's shack.

And in Canada.

You should take something for that cough. There's no evidence Leif made it to the 'continental USA'.

I meant continuously occupied. Mea culpa for leaving that out.

Trump's house is listed as the 5th most important not 5th oldest. Just because a building is old doesn't mean it's historically or architecturally important.

Makes me sad that such an important house is occupied by such a self-important asshat.

And look what besmirches the wall:
