Merged Trump Fires Comey....

Irony is many Democrats called for Comey to resign or be fired, because of his statements against Hillary.
 
We are all free -- for now -- to disagree with President Trump's decision to fire Comey, but we should all agree that this is great for ratings. Trump knows how to generate excitement in the White House, much more than if Shwarzenegger were President.

He criticized her for administrative errors, which is pretty much indisputable. But he also said there was no evidence of criminal intent and no basis for prosecution. That's pretty much the most Clinton could have hoped for.

I know that, but he still serves at the President's pleasure.
I am surprised that Trump out and out fired him; that seldom happens at this level. Usually the guy is given a opportunity to resign.
 
I thought Comey was creepy the first time I saw him because he looks so much like Merkel's spokesperson, Steffen Seibert, who was a news anchor of state-controlled media before using the revolving door to "politics".

Give him time. He will be able to nominate hundreds of federal judges, who will be rubber-stamped by the Senate. Imagine a Jeff Sessions on every federal bench.

this letter suggests that the firing was for political reasons

"you say im not being investigated, but that's not good enough. You're fired!!"

Fact is, the leadership of both parties mistrusted Comey. He had shredded his credibility with his 180 degree reversal on Hilarly.
I am not surprised that Comey is gone, but am surprised that Trump out and out fired him.
 
In his letter to Comey Donnie claims he is acting because Jeff Sessions is "recommending your dismissal." What's that all about?
 
Honestly, as much as I hate Trump it is actually possible that Comey's firing has nothing to do with the Russia investigation and is actually about how he handled Hillary's email investigation.

So what does that mean? Is Trump going to order Clinton's prosecution? That would put her back in the public eye for years, after she's already started to fade away. Why would he benefit from that?
