The US already has among the highest incarceration rates in the world. What percentage of the population is to be locked away in order to get the crime stats to a happy level? What price to pay for freedom in the Land of the Free?

As Bogative's posts have proved, black people are simply more disposed to violence than white people. There's a variety of different ways in which they demonstrate that they're less evolved, and hence less civilised than white people. Whether it's gun violence, gang membership or simply single-parent families, time and again black people show that they're not fit to be members of civilised society. If only black people could be segregated, or better yet sent back to Africa where they belong, then almost all of the US's issues with gun violence (and indeed most of the US's societal ills) would be resolved at a stroke.

No you don't. That's the beauty of gun control. Of course you do also want to stop the crime, but you can do that as well as control the guns.

It does not matter the age, sex, ethnicity or any other characteristic of a person, gun control is by assessing suitability to possess a gun safely through a vetting process. Americans do that a lot already, but only in certain circumstances, such as CCW permits. They need to do it for EVERYONE. Anyone who does not have a permit and has a gun should go to prison for a long time.

Americans prefer dead children to a common sense universal permit system.

Nah. Gun homicide is concerntrated in certain places. But its verboten to notice the demographics of those places. So the suburban NRA guy is cast as the villian.
