The VFF Test is On!

It would have been a good experience, did Anita mention you as a subject at any stage? Like, were you nearly the chosen one?

She ignored me completely. When we were asked to stand up, I was looking for her. She had her back turned to us and was looking at her notes. Poor thing seemed small and slightly embarrassed.

I've watched the video of the demonstration and the interview. All the words are there but you really can not see just how lost and ridiculous Anita looked. That horrible outfit, you could almost see the script that went with it in her head. When she was starting the spin, I felt so bad for her that I actually teared up. Simultaneously I wanted to shake her until she could think straight.

It's very frustrating to watch someone with so much potential flush it all away over nothing.

Thanks and good on you Bookitty for volunteering!

I still find it interesting that I knew Dr. Carlson is missing a left kidney, and that I knew the accuracy of my answers beforehand. So I will have another test. And that is all I have got to say about that.

Yawn...

Anyhow, I think I am done here. If there is another test later on, I will update my conclusions then.

Well, carry on among yourselves. Any pressing questions can be e-mailed to me and will be answered. I am far too busy.

You may continue arguing with those who wish to be psychic, meanwhile since I am not one of those persons, I must obviously ask you to excuse me from being here.

I will leave the JREF Forums for now.

LOL Bookitty, good post. Maybe she got tired dragging all three chairs around. At least GeeMack was considerate enough to suggest they get her a rolling chair. Bet he never got any thanks for it.

Nope. She hates me. For one thing I've got her number. Maybe it's because I've been a semiprofessional magician since I was a teenager, and I've seen lots of and scam artists over the years. Many were way better than she'll ever be. I can easily see right through a liar as transparent as Anita, and it makes her uncomfortable because she knows it.

Also she needs to use and abuse people for her own enjoyment and to indulge her delusion, and I don't engage her in that. I just bust her over and over again. I'm so good at it that she can't even think of a response. :)

Plus for the final blow, I got the exact same score on the kidney guessing game as she did, and I didn't have to crap on a whole load of people or spend hundreds of dollars to do it. A little envy perhaps? :D

It was great fun. The hard part was knowing for a month and staying away from the threads.

Now that it's over, it's amusing to think of what might have happened if I had dropped a false hint or two about that organ donation I might have made a few years back...

which is exactly how memories and more specifically false memories are formed. It's just rare to see someone so taken in by a normal process and have no feedback loop for herself to check if her experiences have a base in reality

The saddest part is that this didn't start with her. She had bits and pieces of it in her initial spin but it was a guy in the audience who went on at length about it. In the woo world, everything has hyper-significance. One person saying it makes it interesting, even if everyone else sees it for the steaming pile that it is.

So as a stage performer Geemack, did it seem to you that Anita was extremely uncomfortable from the start?
I thought all the chair moving and watch checking was pathetic, as though she was trying to make it seem she had important things going on.
I did think the star waist chain was a nice touch.

Bookitty, your alternative scenario would have been hilarious.;)

I think Yimmy is on to something here. In this very thread we have seen VFF evolve from this being a perfectly fair test. Which means she did not know the results. Then at the end of each test, she expresses some vague sense of how she did. After the test is over, she then claims to "know" how she did in each test. Finally, and utterly amazingly, she claims (#1539) "And I knew the accuracy of each trial beforehand" and "All it is, is I feel kidneys when I look at people, and I know the accuracy beforehand." My bold.

Here, in slow motion we see how Anita comes to her justifications of her "powers". It also perfectly explains the "knowing" of Carlson's condition. She rewrites history in her own brain as time goes on, each progressive step becoming very, very real to her. NO WONDER she claims she doesn't have false memories. With her approach to reality, it is actually true.

This is particularly interesting, given that, as proof of her statement, she keeps linking to the video of the demonstration. The very video which shows that she didn't know with any accuracy on trial 2. She clearly mentions two people, not one, thereby hedging her bets.

But over time she's changed that into a definitive "I knew I was right in trial 2". I wonder what she actually sees when she watches that video. Or does she actually watch it at all?

Personally, I'm still on the fence about her. I can't decide if she knows she's a fraud or she's truly convinced herself. (Although I'm leaning towards fraud...)

Well, I'm neither magician nor as good at busting Anita...but I have to join GeeMack in the "hated by Anita" corner. :D

It seemed she was enjoying being on stage. Maybe a little uncomfortable because it was new to her, but like a kid in a dance recital, she was eating up the attention.

I thought all the chair moving and watch checking was pathetic, as though she was trying to make it seem she had important things going on.

In the SVFF chat I commented on the chair routine, "i did a short stint as a sideshow magician in county fairs in my youth... that moving from chair to chair bit is just about tacky enough that it woulda worked there."

I did think the star waist chain was a nice touch.

... for a snake dancer. (NSFW)

Wasn't that the boyfriend? I thought he sounded like he had COPD which would fit with a man his age, or on the verge of tears, which would fit if he genuinely cares about her, and was hurt to see her fail so miserably.

Indeed hail Desert Gal The Queen Of Mean. I did ask if that person was Anita's boyfriend but never got an answer.

Maybe Bookitty knows?
Definitely a shill I reckon.
