The Truth about RFK Jr

BERNIE SANDERS: Vaccines do not cause autism. Do you agree?
RFK Jr: As I said, I'm not going into HHS with any preordained ...
SANDERS: I asked you a simple question, Bobby
RFK Jr: If you show me those studies ...
SANDERS: That is a very troubling response

You are again distorting RFK Jr.'s position on vaccines. I bet you've never deigned to read anything he has written on the subject. I also bet you've read none of the critical research on vaccines written by medical experts.

Here's a truth for you: a bunch of the senators who are attacking him on this issue have taken huge donations from Big Pharma. Gee, what a coincidence.

You can't seem to grasp the factual, logical point that people can raise valid questions about the safety of vaccines and can want higher testing standards for vaccines without being against vaccination in principle and without opposing every single vaccine.

Offering a conspiracy theory in defense of a conspiracy theorist isn’t quite the slam-dunk argument it might have seemed to be in your head.

Isn't he also "skeptical" about HIV causing AIDs, and the Germ Theory of Disease? And played a role in the Samoan measles outbreak?

I think he is, and did. Trump has nominated a public health menace. It's not surprising that cult members would nod and smile like a lapdog, even though they're heading towards their doom.

Head of the Senate Commitee says he is struggling with the RFK nomination.
If he loses the commiteehead, it is over. Very good chance he might not make it.
No doubt he shot himself in the foot big time with his trying to dodge the autsim question.

Yeah, could there be hope after all?

Sen. Bill Cassidy, a Louisiana Republican, ended a three-hour confirmation hearing Thursday by telling Kennedy that he was “struggling” with his nomination and might call him over the weekend, though he did not say how he would vote.

Cassidy, a liver doctor who has regularly encouraged his constituents to vaccinate against COVID-19 and other diseases, implored Kennedy several times to reject theories that vaccines cause diseases like autism. Kennedy’s refusal to do so clearly troubled Cassidy.

“If there’s any false note, any undermining of a mama’s trust in vaccines, another person will die from a vaccine preventable disease,” Cassidy said.

The senator, who is up for reelection next year, laid out the dilemma before him, as a doctor who has seen how vaccines can save lives and as a Republican who is aware of Kennedy’s formidable support and wants to help President Donald Trump advance his policies. Cassidy is no stranger to these predicaments and the outcry they might spark — he voted to convict Trump on impeachment charges after his first term in 2021.

If I went to a job interview and began responding to the questions like RFK Jr. did, I would not even make it to the end of the first five minutes let alone three hours. This confirmation hearing should have ended far sooner than it did, with the words: "Thank you for attending, Mr Kennedy. Please see yourself out. We will look for a more suitable candidate elsewhere. Good bye."

Not if the majority of the interview committee was in the bag.

I think someone needs to help him out and throw him a softball question.

"What do you think is the shape of the earth?"

I mean, you can't ask something like, "Do you believe that germs cause disease?" because he will fail it. So let's step back and just establish that he isn't at least a flat earther.

The problem is, I'm not even sure.

Wonder who he was referring to. Not Kennedy, obviously.
