Cont: The Trump Presidency 11: Insert something funny

So is "New angry Trump" here to stay? Is Trump completely unable to maintain his old act in a government that isn't 100% sycophantic to him?

I think this is the first time that, at length, he didn't get to reassure himself with his adoring fanbase. I wondered if this would happen.

It's very unsportsmanlike of Trump to get his Slovenian mail-order bride and then make it hard for others to get theirs ...

Conservative site to sell Lego-style 'Build The Wall' toy set

TheHill said:
In addition to the wall, the toy set features a President Trump figurine. The box also depicts what appears to be a stereotypical Mexican caricature wearing a sombrero and holding maracas.

The web page for the toy also features an explanation for why the product was made.

"A mob of 10,000 Central American migrants is marching through Mexico and heading toward El Paso, Texas," the description reads. "We understand why they want to flee Honduras and live and work in America. After all, we are the greatest nation on earth.

Hey, if you don't teach kids bigotry when they're young, they might not ever learn it.

US First Lady Melania Trump has called for a top national security aide to President Donald Trump to be fired.

The first lady feuded with Mira Ricardel, the deputy national security adviser, during her tour of Africa in October, US media report.

"It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honour of serving in this White House," her spokeswoman said.

The White House and the National Security Council has yet to comment.

Hang on, the statement was made via “her spokeswoman”?

She’s married to the President, couldn’t she just have a word with him? Or does she have to rely on making a statement to the press and hoping he’ll see it on Fox News?

Gee whiz.

The only funny thing that I know about Trump is that Alec Baldwin does a very funny impersonation of Trump.

There have been zero tweets about the migrant caravan by Trump since the election.

Glad to see he finally saw the error of his ways, and developed a new respect for the plight of those people.

What other reason could there be for the silence?

Belatedly, my favorite part of his epic press conference meltdown was when he listed the Republicans who didn't fully embrace him, and proceeded to lose. It might as well be a scene from Heathers.

This was the perfect cue for him to get out the steel ball-bearings and show his math on the missing strawberries. Even the (normally) dictator idiot friendly local press in Thailand is talking about him having lost it. The Paris shenanigans were compared to a five year old pouting in his room because nobody lets him win at football.

I think we're now seeing the history that's going to be written, assuming he doesn't get us all killed..... The Batcrap Crazy Presidency. Talking to a conservative American dad at my son's school the other day, I asked him what he thought of the drooling idiot he voted for. "He's got about 15 points less IQ than Wilson at this point", he said, "and I don't mean the President; I'm talking about Tom Hanks' volleyball!"

What about the people who swallowed that it was actually a national security crisis? How do they rationalize that nary a syllable has been spoken since election day?

paging members X and Y to the red courtesy phone, you know who are

You thinking about changing sides? :p

Nah. He's just upset because the right is supposed to have the copyright on misogyny.

Perhaps he's also put out that this is coming from one person, who does not represent 'the left'? I know I felt it was a wholly inappropriate statement.

As Parsman says, she's an immigrant. No problem yet, right. I commend the author for showing restraint not to describe her as an illegal immigrant, as that apparently is a possibility.

As for "whore" -- Do you also object to "prostitute"? I admit that my negative opinions of Trump are such that it's inconceivable to me that someone would choose to marry him other than for financial gain.

Though the comment is crass, and probably best left unsaid, it aligns with how I see her.

Don't forget that her apparently working illegally was cleared up at a press conference 2 weeks after the allegations were made. Saying that I don't recall what was said at the conference and my googlefu is weak tonight as I can't find a transcript from that press conference....

That's the claim by her and her lawyer. But the basic question -- did she have a legal work visa at the time she was actually working? -- has never been reliably resolved.

Sure, I'll happily condemn the use of the word "whore". Will you condemn the president of the United States calling someone "Horseface"?

Yes, and the first person to respond to that post, as opposed to others was this:

Sounds like somebody said "no" to Trump's immigrant whore.

jesus, dude. this is out of line.
