The success of McDonald's in France suggests otherwise. And California wines haven't been inferior to French wines for decades.
You know what your right! I was in a Paris Rotten Ronnies last week and two hoodies in there were having a heated debate on whether they should crack open a Bordeaux, say a Château Margaux, or just go with Beringer California Cabernet Sauvignon where you can't go wrong.

(in the end they decided not to bother and go and score some Crack instead, another great American export)

But they are not inferior. Great wine is made all over the world. Check out a movie called Bottle Shock. It's about a famous wine competition held in France in 1976 where California wines were considered superior to their French counterparts. The Judgement of Paris.
The blind taste test has been repeated and time and time again American wines have proved to be just as good and very often better than the greatest vintages from France.
Just remember the Judgement of Paris led to a ten year long world war that is still remembered more than 2000 years later.

Sounds like somebody said "no" to Trump's immigrant whore.

Really poor form, mate. Immigrant as a pejorative? The other term you may have been looking for sex worker. Looking down your nose at people that might fit either catagory is not in line with liberal values. Take a good hard look at yourself.

Like the other Trumps you might brand her as having an overblown sense of entitlement in having someone she disagrees with fired.

It's almost like some people have no sense of irony...

James Corden got off the best line about the daily fiascos in Paris.

"Poor guy goes to all that trouble to stay dry, then he sees Putin and wets himself!"

How much American wine does he think the French want to drink?

As a vintner I'd point out in fairness that America does produce some very fine wines, in particular from the Napa and Sonoma regions of California, and they sell some really nice single estate wines at far lower prices than equivalent French wines, but of course that's UK prices, wine is much cheaper in France and the French would still primarily drink French wine even if everyone else was giving theirs away free!

Eta: I acknowledge that I should have read on before posting this.
