Why not, his acts were evil and aimed at the wrong people, and by choosing that path he showed himself a coward who died an ignominious and well deserved death - though I would have preferred a longer one for him involving much informational production processing.

And when I use the word "Zombie", I mean it as a temporary state - not a complete description of the person. And I'm trying to make that clear, because I don't want to spread the feeling that I'm trying to dehumanize or demonize anyone: there's too much of that nonsense out there already - and it's having a bad effect on the overall societal health of Team People.

Well...it seems like a high-ranking Hamas Official (Religious Affairs) has called for a third Intifada:

Ismail Radwan...called for a third intifada on Al-Aqsa TV and other media outlets: “Our people in the West Bank, Gaza and inside [Israel], tomorrow is the day of rage, the day of confrontation, and the day of renewing the intifada.”

Really sad. I think Hamas is going has gone crazy.

Yes....he is a victim as much as the bystanders. He did not choose to become a Zombie. No one does.

Nope. He wasn't a "zombie". He choose to murder innocent civilians waiting for a bus as part of a carefully considered tactic intended to terrorize the Israeli general population into capitulation. His targets were victims.

No....I'm talking about Einstein's definition of Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Personally, I think more rock-throwing Palestinian kids dying at the bequest of Hamas is just going to sicken people around the world. Is it any wonder that even Iran is no longer an ally of Hezbollah?

On the other hand, it looks like Israel has scaled back Hasbara - and this is going to be a good thing for them.

So, at this moment, I would say Israel is starting to make most of the right moves. We'll see if they can keep their game on.

I don't see anything crazy about it. Hamas is acting in it's own perceived self interest against it's two blood enemies. And taking the opportunity to position themselves even further as the field Arabs in contrast to the PA house Arabs. Which is exactly why Abbas has been maneuvered into making several incendiary statements he probably doesn't really believe, in pursuit of some desperately needed street cred.

Sure...there's always some short-term gains to most any strategy of this scope, but overall I think it's a losing proposition to go Hamas' preferred route: military "force vs force" with Israel. In this way, Hamas' are just a bunch of blockheads who are playing into Israel's hands - should Israel be cunning enough to know how to neutralize them. And I believe there is a great chance that Israel is going to figure it out once they start thinking more like David and less like Goliath. As David proved: great size and strength does not win all battles.

Hamas isn't going "force against force". They're trying to maximize violent disruption of Israeli society while marginalizing their chief competitor as a bunch of Uncle Tom collaborators. Even if a full out third Intifada were to materialize, most of the world would portray it as an heroic campaign of resistance. I don't see any downside for Hamas in their declarations.

They are still arming and funding and training Hezbollah, in fact Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guards fight side by side in Syria propping up Assad.
