Sure...there's always some short-term gains to most any strategy of this scope, but overall I think it's a losing proposition to go Hamas' preferred route: military "force vs force" with Israel. In this way, Hamas' are just a bunch of blockheads who are playing into Israel's hands - should Israel be cunning enough to know how to neutralize them. And I believe there is a great chance that Israel is going to figure it out once they start thinking more like David and less like Goliath. As David proved: great size and strength does not win all battles.
Except, Goliath probably had Acromegaly (judging by how he needed an attendant), and David was a slinger (deadly in ancient warfare). Modern day warfare allows for no such comparison.
I see, you just think they need to find a different way to destroy Israel and genocide the Jews.

David went to a sword fight with a sling and in doing so changed the nature of the battle such that Goliaths strengths were neutralized and the situation favored himself. Whether in Ancient times or Modern Times this strategy still works.
Of course, If Israel just wants to avoid a fight, then they can quit occupying Palestine and brutalizing Arabs and stealing their land.
They tried that. It didn't work. Remember the pre-1967 borders you keep appealing to? Why did those borders change?
And Israel still occupies Palestine and brutalizes Arabs and steals their land. And....when people point out to Israel that this is wrong - Israel screams and stomps it's feet like a little girl and claims the whole world is against it.
Your response doesn't address anything I said. Try again.
I think my response certainly addresses the cycle of murder and self-pity in which Israel is engaged.

Hmm, Let's see:
Jews were promised Ottoman Palestine by the British Empire (as well as the Arabs, probably the worst decision made in the Middle East by the BE). That social contract breaks down with WW2 (Jews fleeing Nazi Germany were turned around by the British), and then the powder keg of Israel explodes in 1947/8 as the Arabs (headed by an SS recruiting Sergeant I kid you not) decide to finish the job Hitler started, and get mega-salty after three failures in 25 years. Egypt/Jordan bite the bullet and make peace with Camp David/Oslo (Hence Egypt and Israel receiving large volumes of US assistance). Now, those 25 years of war to the knife are burned into the Israeli people (especially those who survived the Holocaust) and create a feeling that nobody can be trusted (Europe/America left them to die at the hands of Hitler, Arab powers wanted to kill them). When it comes to Palestinians, Israeli leadership remembers 1967/73, and had "an inch given to them is a mile lost to us" hammered into them, making any possible peace from Israel's part extremely difficult. It's easy, living in a peaceful first world country to criticise Israel, never having had neighbours like Saddam Hussein or Bashir/Hafez Al Assad, or Gamel Abdel Nasser, never having to fear a repeat of facing extinction, never having to spend a day in uniform, never having the possibility of fighting the ME's Khmer Rouge, never having your people being castigated as being Oskar Dirlewanger down to a man.
It is murder to ram your car into people waiting at a bus stop, and then try to hack the survivors to death with a knife.
Well...if Israel would quite occupying Palestine, brutalizing Arabs and stealing land, maybe this wouldn't happen so much.
Israel seems pretty good at causing its own problems. The great peace maker Mahatma Ghandi warned Israel about this years ago....and so it has come to pass. But does Israel listen and learn? No!
So...this justifies Israel's brutalization of Palestinians? The Occupation of Palestine? The theft of Land?
So, are you saying that just because someone in the past does something bad to Jews, Israel has the right to go HAM on Palestinians?
Brutalisation? Israel never had anything like the Husseins in charge. As for occupation, Israel could easily pull a Hafez Al-Assad and Nerve Gas the intifada into submission. Trust me when I say this, compared to the horror stories that are their neighbours, Israel is a paragon of restraint.

Depending on how you geographically define "Palestine", that may not avoid a fight.
As I said earlier, if Israel had simply honored her '67 temple mount agreement, decades worth of terrorist attacks would have been avoided. Just this one simple and intelligent decision.Well...if Israel would quite occupying Palestine, brutalizing Arabs and stealing land, maybe this wouldn't happen so much
Considering Gandhi's advice to the Jews on their "conflict" with his friend Adolf...maybe he should just take a pass on this one.Israel seems pretty good at causing its own problems.
