1. The Bible said the earth is round and is suspended in space:


The Bible revealed that the earth is round. Job 26:10, Prov 8:27, Isaiah 40:22, Amos 9:6...
The people of the fifteenth century who feared sailing because they thought they would fall over the edge of the flat earth. Yet the Bible revealed the truth in 1000 B.C. 2500 years before man discovered it for himself!

In various verses, the Bible says the earth is round and hangs in space. It took a long time for science to catch up and reach the same conclusions. Copernicus made the discovery in 1475. But the Bible always knew. Here are two related Bible verses that were written more than 2500 years ago, and more than 1000 years before Copernicus:

"He sits on throne above the circle of the earth..." (Isaiah 40:22,NIV). (By the way, the Hebrew language at that time did not have a word for "sphere," only for "circle.")
So lets see:


"He spreads out the northern [skies] over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing" (Job 26:7, NIV).

The claim is nonsense of the highest order.

1) He sits on a throne above the circle of the earth. One cannot use that as a claim of a literal description of the Earth because there is no throne that is above the Earth. The entire phrase is poetry, NOT a scientific description. To suggest otherwise is absurd.

2) How tiny your God must be if He can't even teach his chosen people the word sphere. If He were dictating the Bible (a completely ridiculous claim) then why didn't he say the earth is shaped like a orange and sits alone in space.

3) The Bible also says [Matt 4:8 ] "Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them." Mr. Edge, can you show me the type of sphere in which someone standing on its surface can see all parts of the surface?

No, the claim that the Bible describes scientific facts that were ahead of its time is so laughable that I cannot understand how anyone could believe such rubbish.

Helicopters?

Aliens built helicopters?!

The smelted iron and made steel. They smelted copper to make wire. Yet they not only hid all knowledge of this from the Egyptians, they managed to remove every last trace of it. Not a single building foundation, no slag from the castings, no bolt or screw left behind. They took off with great rockets and didn't leave a honking big slab of glass underneath the launch site. ETA: "Ah" the believers say "they didn't use the rockets we use, they used anti-gravity devices" Of course the response to that is why do aliens capable of traveling interstellar distances with devices powerful enough to use anti-gravity power to lift a spaceship from the surface of the Earth need to use helicopters?

Actually, there is evidence that we knew the Earth and moon were spheres that hung in space LONG before Copernicus. The Antikythera mechanism was a device that is estimated to have been made a century before Jesus showed up. It was an astronomical calculator that could show positions of stars and planets, but it also contained a small sphere painted half white and half black that spun around to show the phases of the moon. That's right, a sphere. :eek: OMG! They knew about spheres before Jesus!

The fact that the mechanism was so advanced suggests that scientists had been working on that knowledge for quite some time. Copernicus didn't discover the Earth was a ball that hangs in space, he just said we orbit the sun and not the other way around.

As said before, these were spiritual temples also.
Lots of what they did involved mediation and such, which involve seeing something you all wouldn't know about.

From my point of view they were right about Orion because I know about meditation and how to achieve what they did what gave them insight and the knowledge.

The fringe theme is that the pyramid was the power plant.


Some of wht they have to say runs along the same lines as Tessla theorys and that is free power from the field of the Earth.

First the soot didn't come from the Egyptians but from others, who open tombs and pyramids at a later date.
If we are to believe that they used olive oil for their lamps because they burn with out a soot residue.


There are no hieroglyphics in the great pyramid and no mummies were found there.

I have no idea at this point, sounds like he's puling random overly abuse sci-fi cliche from his rear end and throwing it on the wall, see's what sticks (in other words he's doing the same thing the writers of Halo did).
