the fact that a blowhard imbecile like this actually headed up a federal agency speaks volumes.
This guy anslinger was supposedly well educated and mainstream, like you jref debunkers.
His tactics are quite simalar to the modern day slingers who permeate these threads and the endless stream of charlatons they staunchly defend at every turn. The succeding heads of the fbn have been a little slicker than the original slinger, but their rhetoric adds up to much the same. A pile of crap propaganda. Do yourselves a favor and watch "american drug war-the last white hope". Lays it out pretty well from the start till now.
Who the hell do you suppose cooked up this crap? The evidence shows that it was cooked up by people like eddie bernays at the behest of the heads of large corporations like du pont, seagrams, rj reynolds, and spewed nation-world wide by hearst and reuters. Conspiracy? You bet your ass.
conspiracy fact
Nope, still nothing in HR 1207 about ending the Fed.
I think the medical marijuana advocates miss the bigger picture here. If we were to legalize ALL drugs it could very well lead to:
1. Drug Dealers becoming highly successful and respectable entrepeneurs, like the owners of Jack Daniels or Marlboro (although hated, they are considered legit businessmen and not criminals)
2. Could generate a tremendous amount of revenue for many south american countries, who rely soley on illegal drug trades to keep their economy afloat. If legalized, there'd be regulations on the workers rights (no more murdering people in coca fields or harrasment of employees, theywould at LEAST have the same benefits and protections provided by that of their own labor laws, which HAS to be better than the black markets "laws".
3. Street gangs in the United States would lose a tremendous amount of revenue, thus resorting to prostitution as its only revenue source (which if this were also legalised, would help curve this problem too) There'd be a huge decrease in drug related murders and injuries
4. Overdoses would be less frequent, because doses would be regulated, the drug itself would be cleaner and guaranteed quality, the needles would always be clean and the drug clinics would have more taxable income to work with.
5. Someone's gotta push all this dope, I can think of a whole lot of out of work americans willing to do it.
6. The product itself would be harder to buy in mass quanity, as was the case with heroin during its legal period compared to now, where its 80x cheaper illegal than it was legal.
7. The disenfranchised ghettos in the world, which have long been run by drug lords and gangs, could now enter into several legitimate, small businesses thoughout their community, providing wayword kids a way OUT of miserable poverty or gangs.
8. Everyone is already doing a lot of drugs as it is, might as well find a way for the government to MAKE money off of it instead of waste money on it.
9. Naturally the prisons would have such much needed extra room for all those child predators that we turn lose, because drug dealers are taking up their cells
10. People might not be so damned angry, hateful and mean spirited if they'd just puff a quick fatty with their enemy and laugh with them...
I stand as a firm advocated for FULL legalization of drugs and prostitution, so that these criminals can become real respectable members of society. Instead of being labled criminals for doing things that are really no better or worse than that of wallastreet or major corporations have already been doing and getting away with it.
11-Parents and local schoolboards should decide the ciriculum.
Finally a visionary shows up on my thread. Kudos. Your post made starting this thread worth while.
8. Everyone is already doing a lot of drugs as it is, might as well find a way for the government to MAKE money off of it instead of waste money on it.
I'm betting it won't include spelling.
And, by the way, what ten things do you want to do that you can't do right now?

Hyperbole, see my above post.8. Everyone is already doing a lot of drugs as it is, might as well find a way for the government to MAKE money off of it instead of waste money on it.
9. Naturally the prisons would have such much needed extra room for all those child predators that we turn lose, because drug dealers are taking up their cells
,,,, or capable of reasoned thought. I found that the true reason why everything seems funny while high is that it lowers one's IQ several points.10. People might not be so damned angry, hateful and mean spirited if they'd just puff a quick fatty with their enemy and laugh with them...

But everyone he knows does them! Lots and lots!Perhaps you missed this rather glaring overstatement.
a) No not everyone does drugs
b) Not everyone who does drugs does a lot(whatever that means, large quantity of a favourite drug or a large number of different drugs?)
I would actually daresay that the number of people who do not partake outnumber those who do.
Yes, while I agree with the OP that marijuana being illegal in the USA is foolish, bringing hemp into it is a red herring. It is a quality natural fiber to be sure, one that may still have niche uses, but hemp, and smokable marijuana are just cousins, no matter what the botanical designations say.But probably not true.
Look, if you want to legalize Majijuana so you can get high legally, fine. I agree. But don't drag conspiracy theories into it, and don't try to prove that growing Hemp will be such a great boon to the economy.
If memory serves, Hemp fell into disuse simply because better materials were found.
3. Street gangs in the United States would lose a tremendous amount of revenue, thus resorting to prostitution as its only revenue source (which if this were also legalised, would help curve this problem too) There'd be a huge decrease in drug related murders and injuries

So they couldn't make money out of protection rackets, numbers/illegal gambling, stolen goods, contract killings, fraud, identity theft, etc, etc.

If you read my post you will see that I did NOT say that HR1207 would end the fed. Congressman Paul's bill is designed to be the opening volley in the short war to end the fed. If you read his book, END THE FED, you will knw what I am talking about. Or you can stay in the dark while others do the work for you.
