I don't know about troll, but otherwise I'm with Zep. The only reason I leave out the troll call is that I think she is really (internally) sincere. The (external) outcome is, admittedly, indiscernable from tolldom.

Actually, I have to say Troll too. One of the most obvious ways of spotting someone trolling is when the internal consistency of what they are claiming is clearly secondary to making a provocative statement. In KK's case, this one should have ran the trolling flag up the pole for you all;

I feel sorry for you guys if your own reality is knocking believers. His sheep do hear his voice, but it seems skeptics and pagans are the hardest to reach.

Now bear in mind what she claimed to believe in before God reached her. Which places her amongst our company, if she genuinely believes what she says.

I think it's more likely to be a case of "Bound to be skeptics and pagans here, so I'll say lots of things about them to get reactions"

Is there anything in God's universe more pathetic than attention seeking though? What say you, KK?

What are you going to say when you meet your maker and he asks you what did you do with my son? On that day there will be no excuses, " the 2nd death will be worse than the first!"
..............

I offer you the words of a JREF member who says exactly what I feel.. I apologize for not having the members name.. Perhaps someone else will remind me..

" I am often asked by Christian friends what will I do if I am wrong and must face
God to be judged and explain myself.

I say I will say hello and say I moved through life making many mistakes
but also seeking never to cause harm to any living things. I have sought
to always be kind and to help anyone I could if “he” places his need to
be believed in above a child helping his other children and their needs
and sufferings, I do not desire to be with him anyway and will do my best
in “hell” to ease suffering. ... "

Since you seem to be an idiot, it is unlikey that you will get this, any more than you get all of the responses you have received so far.

Choosing to live a life of faith is definately a road less traveled. But I just don't understand why peolple feel it's a threat to test their own beliefs against what the bible says? Nobody should feel it is being crammed down their throat...but why not test our own truths in light of scripture?
I just wish I had done it sooner in my journey called life. I feel more complete and made wholein accepting his word is true. Don't ask me how it works, God's ways are not are ways. I do believe he makes himself known to his people though many question Christians true motives! A heart that is opened to him and really seeking will definately be found.

The road less travelled?????!!!!! In this country there is nothing more likely to make you a pariah than to be an atheist. We are constantly hearing how noble it is to have "faith". What is it - 90% of the country identifies themselves as Christian. Expressions like "good, church going people" or "good christian people" suggest that not to be Christian is to be evil. It is hardly the road less travelled. It is the road of falling in line with the rest of the flock and believing fairy tales because they make you feel good and give your life purpose.

This is half-true. The U.S. puts on a bigger show of religiosity than Europe by far, certainly. However, even though the population in the U.S. has been growing over the past few decades, and during that time about forty percent claim to go to church regularly, the actual number of people attending church has remained flat. Church attendance is still higher than in Europe, about 20%, but has obviously been falling. What we really have is a country that is becoming more secular but is largely afraid of coming out and saying it. On the one hand, then, Christians feel threatened by this secularizing trend, while on the other hand, atheists feel persecuted because it is still taboo to not pay at least minimal lip service to religion.

This may sound a bit "evil" but wouldn't it be funny if someone put some acid in a religious fanatics drink and after it started kicking in for the person who put it in to claim they were christ.

No.

But it's not suppose to be about being religious? It's all about having a relationship with the Father, through recieving his gift of salvation on the cross. Jesus is the light of the world!
Why would anyone want to miss out on heaven and live in darkness? By grace we are saved. BELIEVE!

Uhh, maybe because they can't stand the thought of having to spend eternity listening to the likes of you ?

Can you answer any of the questions that have been put to you, or are you just a dummy with some recorded messages ?

The metaphor of sheep and shepard is very appropriate here...

From the studies I have seen, you're correct, but missing an important factor. The "mainstream" xtian sects - Catholic, Anglican (or whatever you call it in the States) and so forth - are down, while the fundamentalist, evangelizing brands of xtianity are up considerably. This creates a perception that the country is becoming "more religious" because those who are religious are more likely to be more vocal. No doubt this is the perception these churches want to foster, as it creates peer pressure to join in.

Unfortunately, I don't have any references right now.

I believe.

I believe!

I believe!!

I believe, it's time for a recipe.

Direct from twinkies.com it's Twinkie-misu:

* Box Hostess Twinkies
* 1/2 cup strong coffee, cooled & sweetened
* 1/4 cup Kahlua (optional)
* 1/2 gallon coffee or coffee & chocolate ice cream
* Chocolate shavings or sprinkles

DIRECTIONS: Slice Twinkies in half lengthwise. Spray 9 x 5 loaf pan with cooking spray. Put five Twinkie halves, cream side up, side by side in pan. Mix coffee and Kahlua (optional); with pastry brush, apply liberally to cut side of Twinkies. Spoon about a 1/2 inch layer of softened ice cream over Twinkies. Repeat until you have used enough Twinkies & ice cream to fill the loaf pan. Cover tightly with foil and freeze several hours or overnight. This can be served from the pan in slices or unmolded, garnished with the chocolate and served. Serves about 10.

I see it a little different. There any many belivers, but how many have chosen to be disciples? Not just hearers but doers of the word. In Christ I have found forgiveness, love, and strength. And believe me when you ask him for the truth he will prove himself to you? I just wasn't quite prepared to see the dark places where sin had taken me in my life. I got on my knees, and now I see things so clearly. Day and night difference.

It's not about being a do gooder, but a God seeker. I really believe he loves to prove himself. How can we know him if we aren't even reading the Bible anymore in our society. You don't have to go to church to do that do you?
" Man can not live by bread alone!"

Winky 7:28 (CFV(R)) And Jesus took of the Twinkie-misuand did eat, and upon his countenance came a great joy, and he did proclaim: Damn, Lisa, that s:Dt's da bomb!

I will pass this way but once.
If there's any good that I can do
Let me do it now,
For I'll never pass this way again.

kathy, you say you used to believe in a bunch of New Age and other “psychic” stuff. Then you stopped. But then you at once took up Christianism, a particularly simple-minded variety to judge from what you write. How long do you suppose that belief will last?

What did you believe in before the psychic stuff?

I have sought many answers in phsycology and philosophy as well. But they really couldn't satisfy me? In fact one of the best examples on a phycological aspect was when I spent a weekend at Landmark educations The Forum? They put you through things on an emotional level then at the end of the 3 days they tell you basically life is empty and meaningless. That upset me.

Now I would say to all the EST or Landmark Education people, there right to a point. Without Christ my life was definately based on my feelings and what experiences I had had, but now I am a new creature in Christ. Renewing my mind and spirit. God's truth with my own makes me complete. I no longer feel a void!

It is a supernatural experience and one I would reccommend everyone should try or at least be open to.
