Classy, one of their specials is an 'Irish Car Bomb'. What is it about Irish terrorism that Americans find so acceptable?

Being Irish-American, and having heard other Irish Americans express their support for the IRA, I often wondered the same thing.

Someone ordered a round of these for us at a bar once. I started to get offended, but then I realized "free booze" and drank it. It was pretty good.

Are you talking about the fact that part of Ireland is considered to be a part of the UK? If so, how is this unlawful?

Oh! Goodness me! It wasn't before the British invaded! You are looking very stupid here! Answer the question! Ireland was wholly Ireland before British invaded. What part about this do you not understand?

So what would you like to do Pure Argent. Would you like to re-write history and say ireland was always part of Britain and in doing so appease your Masters!

1984 Sounds very good to you. Now answer the questions please!

Not being a fan of terrorism at all, just to make that point clear. I consider what you are doing is saying you disagree with terrorism? Yes? Okay, then! We can move on for a moment playing devils advocate.

If one day you heard a knock on the door of your house and upon opening it you found a group of people pushing you out of the way and they moved in! You told them you didn't like what they had done and you appealed to the Police and the highest "Court" in "The Land" and the court did nothing.

Question 1: Would you react Paul and if so in what what way?

Question 2: Would it not be better to ask yourself why would it be okay for an invading army to terrorise anyone in the first place saying that by, "might is right" and you will do what we now tell you taking homes and land, raping and pillaging as they went?

Question 3: Would you like a new univited member of your household to take your wife up your stairs and do what he wished?

It would be really great Paul if you could answer all these questions!

No sidestepping...... just 1, 2 and 3.

I'm not Paul, but I'll take on yer questions.

Question 1: I would shoot them until they stopped.

Question 2: I would shoot them until they stopped.

Question 3: I would shoot them until they stopped.

What I would not do is leave the house and kill random people until the people in my house decided to leave. I would not go to their house and torture their children until they left. I would not shoot my girlfriend because even though she is pretty much on my side, she might share ethnic, political or religious affiliation with the invaders.

These are actions that separate a resistance fighter from a terrorist, and they are also off topic for this thread.

You're the one looking foolish, I'm afraid. Ireland and England unified peacefully, through the Acts of Union.

So there was no invasion of the British to force an "Act" of Union!

No rape and taking anything by force! Seriously now, crediblity on-the-line! Not much more time here really for me if you are suggesting ludicrous lines like that! All you will have left here are the other numptys and there will be no victory, intellectual or otheriwse for you other than a deafening silence.

You now need to front up and state what happened in this case we are discussing! Do not toy around or you will debunk yourself!

Perhaps you should state what you believe happened.

When?

What does this have to do with the fact that they eventually united peacefully via the Acts above?

Last chance and then you'll have no-one to debate with on this issue as you are skirting around the facts. British invaded, you answer yes. Simple. Now do you agree with invading countries?

Where's Paul gone? Paul why have you ran away from awkward questions?

Does it matter? Who is Paul anyway? You posted this 12 minutes after your first addressed "Paul" in your earlier response.

Do you really expect people to be on the internet 24 hours a day to respond to you? Somehow, I really think you do, unlike normal people who are willing to accept that the world does not revolve around them, and (unlike FMOTL) others have more important things to do. Perhaps when thunder claps, you should stop bowing, or you should stop expecting the air to part when you enter a room.

You seem to be self centered enough to follow the FMOTL principles that you are the only person on Planet Earth who really matters, and apart from avoiding legitimate debt, which is the sole purpose of FMOTL ("how can I stop paying for things?), and seem to expect that the universe revolves around you.

Uuuummmm,,, you are wrong.

I'm skirting nothing. I'm just trying to figure out what it is that you're on about.

Yes.

Depends on the situation. Do you disagree that the Allies did the right thing in invading Germany during WWII?

ETA: And you still haven't answered my question. What does this have to do with the fact that they united peacefully?

In other news, it is now past midnight here and I have a tournament to play in tomorrow. Those Creeping Tar Pits aren't going to attack my opponent without me. Time for sleep.

What the f8877668 does this matter? You didn't answer my question. You are an apologist! You are clearly obfuscating and not answering my point which came before yours!

You said: "Perhaps it would help if you would elaborate on the thing your analogy is supposed to represent."

And then I responded: "British in Ireland = someone else in your home. You go to "The Court". They do nothing. The British raped and pillaged = An unwelcome visitor takes your wife to do as he pleases.

"The Court" allow this to happen. Do you take "The Law" into your own hands and defend your rights = (some say this is terrorism).

FFS don't be an apologist and answer the question now!"

So, specifically, was it right that the English invaded Ireland? Yes or no Pure Argent!
