As an interesting related event to FOTL growth, note the woo associated with the "Restore America Plan":
http://guardiansofthefreerepublics.com/front-page.html
- Started by self-proclaimed "guardians of the free republics," who claim that they are going to take back the USA as it has become a corporate government and install "constitutional law."
- The founders on April 1 sent to governors in all 50 states a letter, posted on here previously, demanding they step down or swear an oath to the "de jure law".
- The founders have promised that when the constitution is in place again, they will stop all foreclosures, remove all debt, and stop evil government creations like drivers licenses.
Its FOTL in action. The classical FOTL misunderstanding that a government having a corporation does not mean that the government IS a corporation and that there is nothing innately wrong with corporations. The obsession with finding ways for people get out of their legitimately owed debts, etc. Its all there.
Every week or so the guys behind this appear on various fringe "patriot" web radios shows to promise how in the next week things like foreclosures will stop, that constitutional government will be implemented, that the military is working with them, etc. Interestingly, each deadline passes and nothing happens yet the woos STILL BELIEVE IT.
The two people behind this have seminars and at home study sessions that you can pay hundreds of dollars for in your soon-to-be worthless federal reserve notes. They don't seem to take gold or silver bars, just federal reserve notes. I wonder why....
