The All Purpose Hillary Clinton Thread

The loser, no, but Trump, sure we can imagine circumstances.

1. Trump loses the election.
2. Before the inauguration of Clinton, both Obama and Biden resign/die.
3. Paul Ryan then becomes president.
4. He makes Trump Secretary of State, a nomination immediately confirmed by the senate.
5. Hillary Clinton becomes president on 20/jan/2017.
6. After that, before a new cabinet is formed, Clinton, Kaine, the Speaker of the House and the President pro tempore of the Senate resign/die (some terrible epidemy).
7. The Secretary of State, Donald Trump, becomes president.

:duck:

Another near impossible possibility are the electoral votes in the popular vote compact which could switch Clinton delegates to Trump:

wikipedia: The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among several U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their respective electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Most of these states, all blue states, signed this into law between the 2008 and 2012 elections so it is pretty new. They currently have 165 electoral votes of a required 270.

To actually affect the 2016 election, 105 more electoral votes would need to be added (the compact needs a majority, which is 270 this year), signed into law by multiple states and in effect before election day. So, they have 3 whole weeks to get that done.

Then, Trump would need to win the popular vote. Then, the lawsuits, filed to contest such laws as requiring congressional approval or needing to be enacted before voting started, would have to be decided in his favor.

eta: I'm not sure in this circumstance who the "declared" winner would be. Each state is in charge of their own electoral votes.

I am not a professional psychic. I do not do readings or stuff for money or gain. I do the occasional reading now and then to get information in a situation where there is uncertainty as to what might happen and why.

When asked if Trump will win the election the cards said no and yes. And then gave no further information except that there would be a lot of social unrest. The cards were quite positive that Trump would win the nomination, be sworn in, serve 4 years, and be considered successful.

The cards are not a prediction machine. More like insider information which may turn out to be wrong. But correct often enough to be useful.

No more bets. One is enough.

Trump is correct that the election is rigged in that the mainstream media is totally biased and trying to elect Hillary. Whether someone tries to actually fix the results is debatable.

Is there anything nice any of you have to say about Trump? Or is he 100% rotten?

There is no such thing, though there are some people who scam gullible people by pretending to be psychics.

Tarot cards are completely useless at predicting anything.

He is a complete and total piece of ****. By far the worst presidential candidate ever. He's a con artist and a crook. He's stupid. He's ignorant. He's a racist. He is a misogynist and a self confessed sexual predator who wants to bang his own daughter. He has at least one personality disorder. He only cares about himself. He is a pathological liar. He's a conspiracy theory whackjob. He's undermining democracy in America.

**** Trump and all of his followers.

No one's going to try to fix the results. Politically, Trump is like the black homeless wino in Tompkins Park who, as children and parents run away from him (black people, brown people, white people, yellow people - we were Sesame Street in Alphabet City) would say, "It's because I'm black! See??!!"

No, Joel... it's because you stink to high heavens and no one wants to be around you because of that. When you go for your quarterly clean-up at the Mission, people actually talk to you until the stench becomes pervasive again.

Trump has that stench, politically. It's quite possible that all those news outlets are seeing something you're not capable of seeing. Or that your cards aren't telling you. He's an abject racist and most Americans with any sort of education abhor racists. The press generally trends Democratic in the US, but not 100% of the major outlets. There was support for several of the more reprehensible Republicans from various papers, magazines, media.

Trump will have a few more news outlets on his side. I can't imagine the Post editorial board crossing-up all their readers and writers and coming out against him. And there will be a few others. The vast majority, though, do not want to see a racist ideologue in the White House.

So, yeah... they're against him. It's not arbitrary, though. It's thought-out.

Pretty much 100% seriously mentally ill with borderline narcissistic personality disorder that renders him unfit to be POTUS.

The news media is biased toward selling the news. Do you have any evidence they secretly meet to plot against Trump? Maybe you should stop thinking the extreme to which Fox News' biased format is universal. And BTW, even Fox is split over Trump with some pundit anchors for him and some not.

The news media profits if the race is close. The news media latches on to scandals as they are particularly profitable. To assert that somehow Trump's scandals are a concerted effort is laughable. All one need do is look at the long history of the news media peddling Clinton scandals to see what a joke such an assertion is.

Trump's an idiot. What is surprising is how long the news media went with the narrative, Trump scandals aren't affecting him. People are tired of Clinton scandals, ergo Trump scandals are more profitable at the moment.

Trump is losing all on his own, no effort of the news media needed.

As SNL Hillary said, "What I like about him is that he's very generous. He gave me the election last Friday."

No. There's really nothing nice I can say about him. The few things you might normally offer up in concession like Hillary did... "His family." Or, "He loves his country..." or "He's sincere in his beliefs even if I don't agree with him..."...

You can't give him those. His family don't appear deserving of any love from me; why should I care if he loves them. I don't think he loves his country or is sincere in his beliefs.

Perhaps you could suggest areas in which we could find admirable things. I'm stumped. (And I'm not just pushing for debate points here. I am being sincere. There is nothing I like about him nor approve of.)

I did wonder if Clinton was being snarky with the family comment, but thought it genuinely was the best she could think of.

Donald Trump jr is an apple that hasn't fallen far from the branch, so I hold that against him as well.

A chap goes on a two week cruise around Norway and the entire election changes complexion.

It seems that the media have finally decided to take Trump to task about one of his great failings and clearly decided that "gropegate" would be the one to do it. As long as the pressure is kept up for the next 3 weeks it seems that my concerns about Trump's chances were misplaced :o

I am...surprised...that you do not see the inherent contradiction in this bit...

Trump is correct that the election is rigged in that the mainstream media is totally biased and trying to elect Hillary. Whether someone tries to actually fix the results is debatable.

Odd. You appear to be using the terms, "rigged", and "totally biased" in idiosyncratic ways.

Is there anything nice any of you have to say about Trump? Or is he 100% rotten?

...I am a semi-pro Polyanna, and I keep coming up blank...

And nobody wants to talk about Hillary

Jeremy Paxman talked about her on Radio 4 this morning. He described her as "a machine-washable politician who came out of a Tupperware catalogue," while wondering how the USA came to be having to choose between two such awful candidates. Mind you, he also said, "I'm a European, so I can't see how anyone in his right mind could vote for Trump."

I'm kinda getting tired of getting like five emails a day from Hillary begging for money.

Did you write 5 checks Tony? If you want democracy or at least the Democratic party you're going to have to pay for it. Or at least someone will.
