Fait Accompli
What alien sightings from the dawn of man, there arnt any. And yes the modern ones are mistakes and fraud.
For God's sake, man, do the research. Columbus had a sighting on his voyage to America?

You are giving up way too easily. Read a bit of Science Fiction. Read some history of Science.![]()
Why on earth should an amateur astronomer be the ultimate decision maker.
They are looking "at the stars" through a narrow field of vision.
Sorry, but I'm taking the word of pilots, radar operaters, etc., who are not all amateurs.
Pilots fly at or near the height of most ufo reports.
They have the ability to have a 360 degree of vision with a turn of the stick.
I don't get the first part of your post. There have been many sightings that were clear enough and many times seen by more than one person.
Still, do you believe that all sightings from the dawn of man up to and including the present were all mistaken I.D.'s, lies, etc.?
It is because I read about the history of science and about the standard model i came to this conclusion.
Self-consistency of the Standard Model (currently formulated as a non-abelian gauge theory quantized through path-integrals) has not been mathematically proven. While regularized versions useful for approximate computations (for example lattice gauge theory) exist, it is not known whether they converge (in the sense of S-matrix elements) in the limit that the regulator is removed. A key question related to the consistency is the Yang–Mills existence and mass gap problem.
For God's sake, man, do the research. Columbus had a sighting on his voyage to America?

Is that a question re Columbus? If so, I want to see the photo.![]()
So basically, you're saying that every sighting from the earliest dawn of man...are all just mistaken identity, fraud, etc.
Still, do you believe that all sightings from the dawn of man up to and including the present were all mistaken I.D.'s, lies, etc.?
Despite Rule of So and all, you are actually correct. Mistaken identity and fraud pretty well cover all UFO reports thus far.
Reading about the history of science should have taught that predictions made from currently known science are often overturned by science discovered in the future. Read up on the impossibility of ever knowing the composition of stars, for example. We've being doing this science thing for only a couple of thousand years. You want to speak for ALL of the future?
And note The Standard Model is a model. To quote my friends at Wikipedia:
Let me know when its all worked out.
I have a perfectly natural explanation for that. Care to guess what it is?Why on earth should an amateur astronomer be the ultimate decision maker. Pretty much. Do you have an exception?
