Show me a thread where I've defended these people.

I can easily find threads where you've defended Chávez Assad and Putin.

In this thread you wash away all information I present on this or the other ad hom excuse and continue to pretend that the situation is as simple as "the dictator is killing his people". The peaceful protesters who you just witnessed "taking out" the Ba'ath party headquarters in Homs today. By that, you defend the people who spread that narrative, because you know better. You defend them at least as much as I defend said "controversial" leaders. I'm quite sure that in any thread you could pull up where I "defend" those people, there will be a qualifier I could point to, like in this one about Syria. In Chavez' case this may be "El Presidente needs no defense". But spare us the effort, this thread is not about me or you. When will you ever learn this?

Because they come from extremely biased sources, from Syrian regime controlled media, to militant socialist websites, and Venezuelan TV, and from Russian state-sponsored TV (all "coincidentally" friends of Assad). You are so ideologically brainwashed that you don't even see it.

Find better sources.

Communists, the Russian government and the Iranian theocracy are not reliable sources. If you don't get it, you don't get it.

I agree that all of the above sources are controlled. I can't think of one source in the Middle East that doesn't have a dog in the race.

Official referendum results:

In a press conference, Minister of Interior Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ibrahim al-Shaar said that that 8,376,447 citizens voted in the referendum on the new draft constitution, which constitutes 57.4% of the 14,589,954 eligible voters, with 7,490,319 (89.4% of voters) agreeing to it while 753,208 (9% of voters) didn't agree. He said that there were 132,920 invalid ballots, which makes up 1.6% of votes.

Another ruthless dictator wins an election with 90% of the vote, how unsurprising.

Apparently Childlike is oblivious to the fact that Syria is a totalitarian state built on the Nazi/Stalinist model. There's no independent press. There's no independent anything. Or perhaps she isn't and supports it because it's that.

Do any of you think that arms are not making their way into Syria, under the table, from a variety of sources nearby? Not sure if it was in this thread or not, but there are a few news stories about regarding Iraqi Sunni factions working the old smugglers routes back into Syria ... but I have no idea of the scale of effort nor of supply.

Help me out - How exactly does that work?

^ this is a smuggler tunnel which ran all the way from Lebanon into the city of Homs, likely build by the former Governour. After it was found earlier this month, the terrorist gangs had serious supply problems and yesterday many if not all of them surrendered. It looks like Baba Amr is liberated. :)

Voltaire Net: France pulls out its agents ensconced in Syria

The Ambassador of France in Beirut, Denis Pietton, officially visited last week the region of Baalbeck in eastern Lebanon. In fact, he traveled with a French security team to northern Bekaa, a region bordering the Syrian province of Homs. [...]

At an illegal crossing point, Ambassador Denis Pietton and his companions retrieved the French intelligence officers leaving the Islamic Emirate of Baba Amr where they had been teaching their techniques in urban combat.

Under the Vienna Convention, diplomatic cars can not be searched. The convoy was therefore able to drop off the French agents at the embassy’s doorstep under the nose of the Lebanese police. [...]

According to other reports the Syrians have arrested 18 french and over 50 turkish intelligence agents over the last weeks.

Source?

How were Syrian authorities able to determine that these people were actually intelligence agents?
