Anthony, I really hate to ask a dumb question like this, but if the towers collapsed due to large underground nuclear explosions, as those diagrams so clearly indicate, then why do we see the destruction start at the top and go to the bottom instead of the destruction starting at the bottom and going to the top?
Very good question. I'll do my best to answer ....
When the 150kt underground nuclear charges went off, they instantaneously created the following 3 zones:
1. Cavity - 100m hermetically sealed cavity, rock is melted and turned to gas, the gas is heated to temperatures over 10k+ degrees and it is very radioactive
2. Crushed Zone - turns matter to dust, traveled up the tower ~300m (@ 400km / sec)
3. Damaged Zone - turns matter to small rubble, traveled up the tower ~50m past the Crushed Zone
This leaves ~50m of the very top of the WTC 1 and 2 towers virtually undamaged. It is this undamaged section that begins to fall down through the rest of the destroyed building. First it falls through the Damaged zone (where the "planes"/explosives went off), continuing down through the Crushed Zone which is total dust. That dust is what we see being blown through various sections that we have all mistaken to be "thermite explosions". It's just dust being blow out.
Note, according to Dimitri the dustified material from the Crushing wave retains form and color until it is acted upon by some other force. In the case of WTC 1 and 2, that other force is the top section of the tower falling.
WTC 7 is different because the 300m "Crushed Zone" ran up WTC 7 entirely. It started the collapse a bit slower, but it started from the base of the building, which did not look the same as WTC 1 and 2.
And watch this short video clip to see where Dimitri calculated that the charges were actually located. They were not placed directly under each building, but rather off to the side, which caused distinct damage to other WTC buildings and Fiterman Hall. Nobody has been able to explain the massive damage to these buildings beyond saying it was "debris from WTC 1 and 2", which is nonsense:
