You have to remember that stundie came from InMalaFide, a website that exists at the intersection of conspiracy theory, the "paleo" diet, PUA (pick up artistry), white nationalism, and a several other stupid and marginal ideas. They think they represent the common man, but in reality they're just marginal guys raging from the computers (most likely in their parents' basements).

Normally I feel Anders should be ineligible for Stundies because everything he writes is Stundie-worthy and it seems like he is trying to win, but for this I have to make an exception.

I get what you're saying its just that in my experience, 4 years of bar work & an adult lifetime of going to bars, it all boils down to having confidence & the ability to communicate that.

Our experiences are not mutually exclusive. You are absolutely right that "having a good rap", as we called it in the olden days, made one much more successful. However for some woman, looks were the be all and end all. The fact that the guy couldn't string together two coherent sentences never factored into the equation. Some guys were no different, they just wanted arm candy. Of course if you're just out to get laid, whether or not the layee could discuss Camus or even speak your language is kind of irrelevant.
