Jerry Wayne- Do you think Joan believes in Bigfoot?

http://www.joanocean.com/sasquatch.html

I was with her until I read this:
JOANCRAZYPERSON said:
Holding the large quartz rock she gave me, I talked to the rock from my home in Hawaii, expressing my disappointment to the Medicine Woman that I could not be with her and that I did not find a little cottage to buy.
Everyone knows Pele gets all pissed and lays a curse on you when you bring rocks home from Hawaii. You think the rock would've told her when she talked to it.

Maybe not.

Hawaiian lavas are poor in SiO2.

She might be quite happy with a quartz crystal as an offering.

Send money for more pearls of wisdom from beyond the borders of what we call nature and the universe.

Of course it would have but it would have lied to her out of spite.

Did I get more if I order right now?

How much is shipping and handling on wisdom pearls?

Sure.
The more you pay, the more you'll receive!
And you will be helping me to spread The Word!

Oh, shipping is free.

You can also choose to receive a direct mental download of Wisdom. Of course, you need to pay. Sending data through telepathic ways is hard, consumes energy and time and demands a complex preparation. I need several bottles of good expensive wine a specially tailored diet to make it work properly, for example.

I believe this person is attention-seeking posting as SweetSusiq over at the BFF.

Multiple venues = more attention.

I thought something rang familiar about this. Yes, I do believe that to be SweetSusiq from the BFF as well. I bumped heads with her in the Tar Pit recently where I candidly told her that I thought she was full of BS and that some detail of her encounter story changed almost every time she told it.

The response? Woe is me, why are you picking on me? Typical.

Isn't she involved with some sort of cryptid podcast thingamagig?

I've seen the term 'BLAARG' tossed around the past couple pages, but I don't know what it means, anyone care to explain it to me?

I think the only honest believers are the newbies to Footery...

It compares most closely with Professional Wrestling. When I was about 10, I saw a local TV pro wrestling show for the first time and thought it was real at first. Then, as you watch more closely, you figure out it is acting. Even after my friends and I realized it was fake, we still pretended it was real at times-and had fun playing like it was real. We still tried to convince younger kids it was real. I think some people come into bigfootery and either think it is possible or buy into all the garbage "evidence" show on TV shows, ect and think it is real. At some point though, they realize, just like with pro wrestling, that it isn't. Some move on to other things and others dig in and play the game. For me, the "quick and dirty" test is if they claim to have seen BF. Once they claim to have seen a bigfoot, you can be sure they are just BLAARGing.

I don't understand it, but I also don't understand why 1000's upon 1000's watch pro wrestling either.

Re: footprints

This appears to be the most ridiculous aspect of Bigfoot study to me, not only from the time spent trying to establish them as "proof" but also in the time spent having to dignify such claims with rebuttal.

I've read a lot about them, not the least amount within these threads. To me they just look absurd...particularly the perfectly formed and matched toes that scream immobility, inflexibility, and fraud.

But one thing I haven't seen addressed: the footprints and casts always appear as though someone was hanging from a helicopter and pushing their foot directly into the ground. In other words, they never appear to be "walking," just flat and sculpted. What I haven't seen is anyone showing how they're fake because a walking footprint shows disproportionate depth at the ball of the foot, where weight is applied as the walker pushes up from the ground, and displacement in the surface caused by the movement of the toes as this happens.

Unless their argument is that Bigfoot walks like he has snowshoes on...?

I haven't seen any debunking of the sort that says "here is why this subject wasn't walking." Maybe I've missed it? (Probably.) It seems like the first point to make when presented with big flat imprints.

Very few knuckleheads want to waste their time on this nonsense. Present company knuckleheads excluded.

I saw the story changing too in the various renditions across these sites - not even capable of consistency in what the alleged animal was. The number of encounters changed too, but what we have seen is already so ridiculous it is hardly worth itemizing every utterance.

You'll notice our broken record emotional manipulator tried to pre-empt discussing her wild stories, just like she did above with you:

sweet, kind-hearted person and I had worried that she might fall victim to a goonish, erroneous smear campaign

Yeah, wild stories - six paranormal encounters with ghosts, dogman, bigfoot, and aliens in one sentence alone - anybody questioning that is a goon who is trying to smear her.

This is the troubling thing about Bigfoot University - once you have been trained in this antisocial conduct then you can turn those abusive tactics on anyone.

And while you are busy with nasty personal attacks, insist it is your opposition that is making them. That is the primary problem with "seeing cryptids": all of the nasty behavior surrounding protecting the lies.

She was not three feet from a nine foot tall sasquatch/dogman and she was not twenty feet from an alien space craft. It was not misidentification of a NASA module they were flying 20 feet from her. It is a totally made-up story and she is a virtual conveyor belt of them.

This was the best evidence he could muster for true belief over BLAARGing.

Paul - one of the most ridiculous things about trackways is that they start and end abruptly, and are found where it is easy to make footprints with stompers as opposed to a context that makes sense for an animal going somewhere or doing something.

Pointing that out of course makes you a goon.

I've seen the term 'BLAARG' tossed around the past couple pages, but I don't know what it means, anyone care to explain it to me?

There are two kinds of live action role-playing. You can be honest and admit that you are playing a game. LARP - Live Action Role Playing.

But when you deny that it is a game... when you lie and say it is reality - then it is Live Action Alternate Reality Gaming. When you do it with Bigfoot, it is Bigfoot Live Action Alternate Reality Gaming.

And you don't have to be a 'footer to play it. You can pretend to be a skeptic in this game too.. But what you do is troll skeptics.

The bizarre thing is such a role-player thinks he is the first one to ever think up disguising himself as a skeptic. That's what nearly all of them do. Nobody more skeptical than the wildest bigfoot story teller.

SweetSusiq may well be a sweet, kind, older lady ( as was described to me by others at the BFF). I was, in fact, chastised for being less than gentlemanly with her. That may be true and mea culpa if so. I would point out, however, that she showed up to the Tar Pit section of the BFF ( unmoderated area) and wove her tale. She was told politely by many ( myself included) that what she described sounded very much like a bear. The story started as her and her husband driving down a remote, wooded road. While passing by a clearing of sorts at the side of the road she saw a black figure digging around a tree stump. Said figure looked up, and then stood up as she and her husband drove by. Despite polite and helpful responses that it was most likely a black bear doing perfectly bear like things, she insisted that it was a dogman ( of all things) and continued on in her " oh me oh my, the dogman is going to get me and my family if we ever step into the woods" nonsense. I got frustrated and told her that she must enjoy her fear mongering as she is completely rejecting all less frightening explanations and insisting on this dogman nonsense. I was berated with " I am a mother and a christian and I would never lie. Why are you so mean to me?"

The funny part is that her story changes quite a bit over time. It went from a raised head to a standing posture, to something that took several steps towards them to something that climbed the tree, to something that ran away from them. When you point this out to her she will claim stress must confuse her recall. But she is, of course, positive that it is a dogman.

I apologize, jerry, if she is a friend of yours or something, but that particular individual I find very frustrating to deal with. She WANTS to be afraid of things that go bump in the night it seems. She goes on constantly about the danger in the woods to her and her family, and well anyone who enters the woods, for fear of the dogman that is out there.

It's complete nonsense. Self inflicted nonsense at that.

So she sweetly guilt-tripped and shamed you. Sweetly invalidated any reasonable explanation. Sweetly berated you.

Sweetly lied. Interesting how all of those behaviors are specific abusive antisocial tactics.

Pointing out the chasm between bigfoot and dogman: that's nasty. That's smearing. That's being a goon. Don't apologize to the person calling you these names, as if you were the one in the wrong. That is how a person with no conscience manipulates a person who has one: all you have to do is accuse them of being nasty and they trip all over themselves apologetically.

Ganging up on you is sheer bullying. Same thing there: being bullied isn't something you apologize for. Bullying is what's wrong.

Something of which she can't be positive.

Nonsense can make for good stories, and lots of attention.

I think she was one of the ones involved in the recent nonsense categorization of the bigfoot types. I believe a dogman is a bigfoot type 3. ( I kid you not)
