Sarah Palin Quits Halfway Through...Again!

There ain't gonna be no Palin Reich. No need to worry your pretty little heads, or try to worry mine. You see, if Palin turned out to be actually crazy enough to try to get down to it with the irrationally-feared Christo-Nazism, soldiers would cut her down. It's specified in the oath every member of the armed services swears, a Sword of Damocles hanging over the heads of all power-mongering politikers. This is something American politikers must live with. The final check and balance.

Aside from leftysergeant, I'm pretty sure this is a strawman.

Yes, but Real Americanstm would never use their celebrity to get out of their civic duty dontyaknow.

Though they would certainly use jury duty as an excuse to pretend that quitting her feeler tour for a possible run at getting the GOP nomination wasn't quitting it.

Can't you people find a scarier boogy-bear than Palin to shake at us?
Most liberals and Democrats don't fear Palin. Indeed, many have stated that they wish she'd win the GOP nomination, since that would assure a Democratic victory. But she can still do some evil in a small way.* She can rouse a small crowd of hateful, fear-mongerable people who will believe her BS and raise a stink. Not a major problem, but then, the Ku Klux Klan is not a major problem.

Sarah Palin movie to debut in Iowa on Tuesday

A documentary celebrating the career of Sarah Palin will debut next Tuesday in the first-in-the-nation presidential voting state of Iowa.
"The Undefeated" will debut at the 111-year-old Pella Opera House in Pella, Iowa on June 28 - just one day after Palin's potential rival in the presidential race, Rep. Michele Bachmann, holds an event to formally kick off her presidential campaign in Waterloo, Iowa. Waterloo is roughly two hours away from Pella.
(...)
CBS News political correspondent Jan Crawford, who has seen the full documentary, describes it as "an unabashed defense of the former Alaska governor that leaves the distinct impression her presidential candidacy not only is possible, but inevitable."

The new documentary about Sarah Palin will premiere in Pella, Iowa on Tuesday, the same day President Barack Obama plans to visit the state.

Nope. I am not embarrassed or defensive at all. I simply don't know why my fascination is a problem with people.
It's not just a problem with "people". It's a problem with yourself:

Sarah Palin is fascinating, though not in the good way.

You spend so much time and effort addressing other people's concerns about your fascination with Sarah Palin. How much time and effort do you spend addressing your own concerns?

Yes, but Real Americanstm would never use their celebrity to get out of their civic duty dontyaknow. And clearly Ms. Palin is such a paragon of duty that she would never shirk her civic responsibilities. I am certain that there was a very compelling reason preventing her from completing her term as Governor.

There was a very compelling reason. $$$$

Plenty. I've commented on Palin in lots of threads. This is actually the first time I've addressed other people's concern about my fascination Palin.

Back to the dodged question. Why does my interest in Palin bother you?

The Palin/Press relationship is fascinating, indeed. It's like they're her abused spouse. She keeps slapping them around, telling them that they're worthless, but they just come back for more, they can't stay away.

But it's not all the media--just the "lamestream media". After all, she's still an employee of Fox News.

Apparently, the first complaint from Palin about the media getting it all wrong concerning her quitting the bus tour came in the form of a Tweet that contained a link to an article by none other than Fox News. So I guess the mama grizzly will occasionally bite the hand that feeds her if it ever stops feeding her for even a moment. Such is the nature of grizzlies in captivity.

No dodge; you never asked me the question. I've been responding to such of your statements as I found interesting.

Anyway, I'll humor you: Your interest in Palin does not bother me.

Instead, what interests me is that your interest in Palin bothers you. Why does your interest in Palin bother you?

My apologies; I thought you found Sarah Palin fascinating in a bad way:

I do.

Perhaps you meant that other people's interest in Sarah Palin is bothersome, but your own is wholesome?

You must have misunderstood me. I find Sarah Palin fascinating in the same way I find Transformers 2 fascinating. I just can't look away from the continuous stream of nonsense that comes out of both. I also understand why other people would be fascinated too.

What I don't understand is why conservatives show up in every Palin thread and wonder aloud why people who don't like her talk about her so much.

I do.

I imagine they find you fascinating in a bad way ;)
