Sarah Palin considering 2012 Presidential run!!!

Did you guys see the video on pharyngula showing she wrote "cheat sheets" in ink on her palm, to remind her of the three things she wanted to talk about!

What would be very funny is if she is left handed, implying that someone else wrote the info on her palm!

Left handed people are socialists.

As paul Simon once put it:

I been ayn randed, nearly branded
Communist, ’cause I’m left-handed.
That’s the hand I use, well, never mind!

This Gary Larson comic comes to mind:

I hope she runs. It would be hilarious to watch. More hilarious than the 2008 cycle because at least this time around I'd be confident of her loss.

The 2008 election cycle was a bit scary until the end. The thought of someone like Palin making policy decisions is terrifying.

They're 99.44% pure GOP, and were from the start. Their purpose is to impress the notion of some sort of change in the Republican/Conservative rai·son d'être, so that they can disavow responsibility for unfaltering support of the Bush agenda -- even as they connive to continue it.

The tea partiers are a vocal force in "opposition" to deficits. This abject concern was invisible from conservatives until the bank bailout at the very end of Bush's 8 years of record-busting deficit spending. Now all their rending of garments is unaccompanied by any concern for revenue. It's unrealistic upon cursory examination because it's just meaningless jingoizing, thus making Palin is the ideal spokesperson.

To be fair, some Conseravative were Very Critical of Bush, when he was in office, vis a bid deficits.
That is a might broad brush you are painting with, Slick.
And I really think the idea of the Tea Party being a GOP plot is a bit much.

Sarah Palin may run for President, but I have great faith that the GOP will NOT nominate her as the GOP candidate in 2012.

Republicans may be silly...they may be nutty...they even may be crazy...

but they are not suicidal.

A lot of conservatives today consider Bush to be domestically liberal.
What they believe today is not relevant. They can say whatever they want without political repercussions. What matters was how they reacted when Bush was president. During that time, they were good little Republicans and toed the line.

I recall the charge of heart (or at least, change of message) happening right after the dems took congress in 2008.

I paint with the appropriate brush width for every occasion, Sport. Show me the legislative pushback from Republicans against Bush's spending. Saying "deficits are bad," and then voting for every revenue decrease (ie., tax cuts) during a time when hundreds of billions of $ are going to 2 wars and Medicare Part D is unfunded and prohibits the government negotiating drug prices is no concern for deficits.

I don't think the Tea Party is a GOP "plot." I does appear that Tea Partiers support Republicans 100%* and Democrats 0%. I think it's a useful tool to put an anti-deficit face (and face only) on Conservatism and the GOP just in time for a Democratic president.

*That Republican who ran an Indy challenge in NY-23 has to be considered the GOP candidate, given the endorsements from GOP bigwigs across the country. Consider it a GOP primary held in conjunction with the general election.

I'm talking about grassroots, not the people in Washington, although it is true that most right-wing voters got fired up after the bailouts (not necessarily Obama's election).

Since the official GOP candidate had to drop out of the race completely, your statement that the Tea Partiers support the GOP 100% does not wash.

A lot of conservatives today consider Bush to be domestically liberal.

Which is why his approvals ratings sunk so low.

When a republican president drops below 20% in a country where 60% self-identifies as "conservative" that should be a sign that you're doing it wrong.

Wait a minute....I thought Scott Brown was going to be the 'Annointed One'.

Uh oh...I sense a donnybrook a-comin', if that's the case!

I don't want Palin to run for 2 reasons:

#1. she is a moron, she does not have the sophistication nor the knowledge to lead a nation the size and importance, as the USA.

#2. her campaign will become a laughing stock. her debates with Obama will become a circus. Obama won't have to run on his record...he could win by simply saying "I am not Sarah Palin". we really don't need such a side-show in the USA.

Umm...

#1. She's a marathon runner.

#2. She'd just say "I'm not hopey changy Bama"

Keep it up, Parky - it's entertaining.

Why is news that Palin could be running in 2012 surprising to anyone?

ETA: The "quitter" meme is going to kill her, btw.

One thing I don't think she'll be, is another VP candidate; she already tried second banana, and she kept acting like *she* was the one running for top office.

If she does win the nod, I really don't think she'll make it; too m any people have too many reservations about her ability for the office (Yes, "even less ability than Obama", before someone brings it up...)
