Ed Rob Menard's FOTL Claims

I don't know if it's because I'm a Brit, but the term "excellent ... family compound" does not really say "safe, child friendly" to me.
 
Is there any evidence beyond his own word that Menard really is the one who's renting those cabins? I find it very difficult to believe that he could afford the thousands of dollars in monthly payments, even with the help of a few of his fans. Remember that this is the guy who wears hobo rags.

No way of knowing. But it's only $750 per month. Pretty cheap, especially if he has roommates. He lists the address as unit C, so he would only be renting one of the units, possibly splitting the rent with other scroungers.

Notice how the frames change too fast for anyone to read them. Gee, it's almost as if he doesn't want people reading too closely. :rolleyes:
I put that down to incompetence, along with the poor formatting and terrible grammar.
 
I just had a bit more of a look round and it's even more stupid than it appears:

"ACCP provides a solution so that no member will have to live without electricity, heat, water, food and basic clothing" and "ACCP serves to improve all Canadian life by providing an affordable means to sustain the basic necessities needed to live today" but oddly "ACCP also serves to improve the lives of Canadians who are artists... ...ACCP ensures no affiliated artist will have a hard time financially obtaining the items, tools and supplies needed to help them fulfill their greatest potential" which means that, somewhat bizarrely "Half of the members monthly dues will go directly to an account for the artist they choose"


Gee, seeing as Menardo fancies himself an artist, wanna bet he's first in line grabbing the "artist's cut" ?

He doesn't need too many morons freemen to sign up to make a pretty healthy living from this scam.

Probably not something she wants to tell prospective buyers, given that they are likely to inherit Menard as a tenant:

I'd venture that if informed, it'd be something she'd be obliged to declare or risk her realtor's license. Also, there's nothing obliging a new owner to carry forward any renters if they don't feel like it

You're probably right about the realtor thing, but in Ontario there are strict rules about when and how a new owner can evict a tenant.
 
The address and phone number of the "head office" of this newest scam 'organization' track to a T. Reeder, and the same phone number also tracks to a recent Kijiji ad promoting "Tracey's Tobacco Delivery Service" and a recent Kijiji ad offering up the service of a "Personal Driver - Friendly and Affordable. Too (sic) and From Work" ... "

Wait, what? A FoTL using roads for *gasp* commerce? Surely, that cannot be. So maybe "Tracey" is not a FoTL but is somehow acquainted with Menard and willing to use her rental premises for purposes of helping him with this scam. In any event, the whole thing is well beyond sketchy.

You're probably right about the realtor thing, but in Ontario there are strict rules about when and how a new owner can evict a tenant.

I wasn't aware that on ownership change, the same (or similar) encumbrances applied as they do to an ownership change. Obviously, sufficiently reasonable time has to be available for a tenant not being retained to make other arrangements but I would've thought that fell within the usual closing duration of property sales.

In all seriousness, why doesn't one of the Canadians here contact the police and let them know about this website? Even if they can't do anything about it yet, it wouldn't hurt to at least ask.
