Bobby, your mildly plausible story might pass were it not for your history of making up tall tales.

One has to wonder how it is you knew your laptop was stolen before you found out it was stolen.

And the idea that you have the big swingin’ thang needed to force the fictional perp into community service is laughable. I am sure you’d like the freeman cult to think that your mere physical presence makes people behave, but I ain’t buying the propaganda, Bobby.

Even a ten year old comic book thief could figure out that you’d only embarrass yourself by running to the cops and that if you did all the fictional perp would have to do is come up a passable story about how he mistook your laptop for his, or that he was drunk and he thought you said to take it to the car for him, or whatever.

I point out again that making up fantastic stories to cover up your foul ups is most probably the thing you have been doing since childhood.

Good luck on the other tall tales. . . .the book, the movie, and freeman valley!

Sure says a lot about the average mindset of you folks though. One guy makes something up, and then you latch on to it and accept it as truth with NO EVIDENCE AT ALL. You are not skeptics, that is what you tell yourself to justify your inabilities to distinguish truth. For you lot, truth seems to be that which you are willing to accept, because it supports your previous mindsets. You do not think, you defend beliefs, regardless of how ludicrous they are.

No wonder this forum is such a laughing stock on so many other forums. No wonder this is the ONLY forum where JB is not only tolerated and not banned, but celebrated.

And then at some point to fall for, and subsequently spend the rest of your life claiming they are your 'research', laughable decades old American sovereign/patriot nonsense that has been proven to be made-up con-crap.

We had a similar situation...11 years ago...at my high school.

A year previously someone had stolen the c.d. collection of a very musically inclined gent, hundreds of c.d.s all real, not burnt copies. This was during a dramatic production ( in my city my old high school puts on a fairly high quality variety show each year, that ends up gaining much needed coin to worthy causes. ) , and everyone felt sorry, and ponied up what they could, getting the gent over 500 dollars ( still not the value of the c.d.s ).

The next year another bunch of c.d.s went missing, and the same general thing happened. Problem was, a few weeks later, it was found out that it was simply a scam, but by that time the money had been given, and there was nothing that could really be done about it.

Way to go rob, managing to be as crafty as a 16 year old stoner.

Not quite baseless, I did see the donation page and story of how the laptop had been returned.
With your negative credibility here and general behaviour it is perfectly logical to assume you misplaced it and got the idea for a donation drive.
(Is the DVD sale running dry?)

By most people's standards it is a pretty poor story.

However, compared to all his other tall stories, I found this to be one of his better works of fiction and rather a good read.

The thief was invited into someone else's home on NY Eve, and stole from his guest. Homeowner felt dishonored, and agreed to not mete out punishment if the thief did this community service. This was a result of me speaking words about the importance of compassion and forgiveness. It was not my presence, but that of the guy who returned it and the homeowner. Both of whom are far tougher than you will ever be.

I was not looking forward to making a police report, (not sure how they would take it) but was prepared to do so. I have 'PREY' installed on my computer, and was hoping to get a report, and settle it without the cops.

Theft of a laptop by a drunk crackhead, who then leaves it or forgets it in the van he was riding in on NY Eve, because they went to another place to continue partying, is fantastical to you? What exactly is the fantastical part? IS it the theft itself? The leaving it in the van, cause he could not bring it into the next house without suspicion, or the fact that at the end of the evening, (early next morning) he did not re-enter the van because someone else offered him a ride and the van owner did not feel like driving or going out to the van?

Name one tall tale, which is not merely labelled by you as such. Name ONE. Can't do it can you? All you can point to is things I have said, which you do not believe and then label as a tall tale.

Here's the thing though: It happened. And there were witnesses. How about if the guy who found and returned it signed in here and confirmed? Would you believe him then? Or would you due to your ignorance merely label them as a liar too? Or claim that I have another account for this purpose.

The fact that you find the idea of a laptop being stolen as fantastical, or that someone drunk enough to do so would then forget it someplace, or that it would be returned by the one who had it left on their property, simply identifies you as one who has NO IDEA WHAT THE TRUTH IS WHEN YOU HEAR OR READ IT.

So tell us arayder, exactly which aspect of this recounting do you find fantastical?
1) Laptop being stolen....
2) Thief forgetting it...
3) it being returned....

Tell us please which it is that causes you to label it as 'fantastical'..

Then we can examine WHY such an occurrence is even a topic of discussion on this laughable 'skeptics' forum...

Two things strike me there:

First you actually have to wait for someone to read the post and then reply, you think you would have got how forums work by now.

Second, if he hasn't labelled a story of your as a tall tale why would he think to bring it up in response in the first place? You really aren't good with logic are you?

Labeling a truth as a tall tale does not make it one. Did you not see the modifying word 'merely' in that sentence?

Maybe it is YOU who are a stranger to logic? Certainly your reading comprehension skills are seriously lacking.
 
Rob just a kind suggestion, but maybe if you provided evidence for your claims rather than just reciting unproven tales, we might actually be able to take your word for something for once.

You said months ago that you were going to respond to the cases I had posted. You have not done so and have made no further indications of doing so. Initially you had assured me that you were interested in a serious discussion about the case law relating to your claims. I am left to believe that your initial assurance of a response was nothing more than a tall tale.
