Richard Gage vs Mark Roberts

I'm watching it as we speak.

I don't like this format at all, whereby Gage gets to make 300 false claims in 2 minutes uninterupted, after which Mark is given 2 minutes to clean them all up.

A free flowing debate would be much better.

Also, after Gage makes his barrage of falsehoods the host keeps interrupting Mark as he is about to respond by asking him a completely different question, leaving Mark to answer that too before he has to dissect everything Gage has said.

I'll keep watching though, and hope for an improvement.

I agree, the moderator created interference, rather allowing any fluidity in the debate.

you're just jealous! Richard Gage is a great teacher. He has a knack for illustrating concepts!

15 floors of a building will not destroy 95 floors of a building.

And what if it takes on one floor at a time? Still couldn't do it?

Galileo, I'm amazed that you even try to defend the pre-school level of science that Gage demonstrated in that debate.

Lest anyone doubt why these clowns avoid peer-review like the plague.

What's with these interruptions?
Mark states he has a critical challenge for Gage, and he is yet again interrupted to make way for Gage to show yet another video. A video that everyone has already seen a thousand times.

Mark is doing a superb job, but I'd be annoyed if I were him.

Lets face it, if you needed any proof that the troof movement is dead and buried then its this Hardfire video.

15 floors didn't destroy 95 floors. (Using your numbers...) 15 floors destroy one floor, then 16 floors destroyed 1 floor, then 17 floors destroy one floor, then 18 floors destroyed one floor...

But how can 15 floors destroy 1 floor and end up being 16 floors? Wasnt that 1 floor destroyed?

(I'm not a twoofer :D )

That always seemed completely obvious to me.

The way truthers explain it, you'd think 95 floors were all simultanously pulverised at the point of collapse initiation.
When a quick glance at any video shows it's a progressive collapse. As you say, the load destroying one floor, then a greater load destroying the next, so on so forth.

Can you site evidence of your perverse theory from the NIST report? Or do you just lie and make things up?

The floor is destroyed, in that it has been dislodged and pulverised, however, the mass is still there.

It doesn't just vanish.

Ah ofcourse! I could have come up with that answer myself...if it would for the late time here in Sweden and me getting awful tired.

So goodnight boys! :)

Please respond to the questions I asked you kid instead of skipping over them because they inconvenience you. You made a claim, now please back it up.

Liars like you should not go around calling others liars. So kiddo, can you back your claim up or not?

The lack of brain power is shown in how they seem to think that the 95 floors were one solid object. Therefore how can a single object of 15 floors destroy a much bigger single object of 95 floors. What they aren't bright enough to figure out is that a building is a large object made up of billions of smaller objects, not a single solid object. That's why they are so easily convinced by a chimpanzee playing with a couple of cardboard boxes to prove it.

Maybe a better way to phrase is to say that the mass of 15 floors destroyed 1 floor, then the mass of 16 floors destroyed 1 floor, etc...

take 95 people standing on top of each other, and then stop 15 people from 1 story above the stack of 95 people onto the stack of 95 people. Will those 95 people remain standing, or would one argue 'how can 15 people knock down 95 people?'

Basically, under truther logic, the domino effect is actually an impossibility, a violation the laws of physics, because 1 domino can't knock over 500.

They turn it into a simple
1 vs 500
Which is stronger?

Silly.

Unfortunately for you, no one needs to do this. See, the structural engineering community and the world at large already accepts this blatantly obvious fact that so confounds you and a handful of other crackpots.

Which is why the biggest stage the leaders of your movement can find to embarrass themselves is a local cable access show being thoroughly schooled by a tour guide.

I think we finally have a moment that surpasses "Clunkety-clunk" for sheer hilarity. I like this screencap better though, because it captures Gage's mania:

I had to see it to believe it. It would have been more exciting if Gage had "flown" a model airplane into the box, then set it on fire before the drop. It still wouldn't prove anything...other than possibly the lack of a fire extinguisher close by...and whether or not he has a working smoke detector in his office.

Great show, Mark, by the way. I enjoyed your explanation of the origin of their "therm*te" microspheres. (Sooooo....PPG paints division is making high tech explosive paint primer, eh?:p )

I wish it was longer, Gage just keeps making a complete fool out of himself on every point. I was expecting Gage to bring new points to the table, but he didn't at all. These claims have been around and debunked before AE911 Truth even started.

Oh, and the cardboard box is the new "clunkity". The July Stundies already has a winner.

Richard Gage is operating on a level of stupidity so total, that I can't quite absorb what I'm seeing.
