A) anyone whose main purpose on the internet is to create excuses for insulting or demeaning other members
B) anyone who does not comprehend "weight of evidence" and the reality that there will always be conflicting witness reports
C) Anyone who persists in accepting anomalous witness evidence which is outweighed by the body of evidence
D) Anyone who refuses to state/recognise or discuss where certain paths of reasoning could lead
E) anyone who keeps discussions circling in a small subset of evidence to ensure no progress
F) anyone who forces irrelevant leading questions onto other members to create "gotchas"
G) anyone who repeatedly tells deliberate untruths (AKA lies) to further any or all of the above
H) Anyone who......

...has serious problems of personality, self esteem and motivation about social interaction.

But, since I have several thousand hours on the B757/767 (among others) I can clear this up a bit more.

The A/P will steer to a waypoint, yes of course. In 2001 the United Airlines fleet did not have GPS updating installed. Doesn't matter because the Inertial Reference Systems ('IRS' platforms) can refine position update via numerous methods, what GPS update does is simply provide greater accuracy, compared to VOR/VOR and VOR/DME updating.

Waypoints are stored in a database in memory for the FMC (Flight Management Computer) to access. For the users (pilots) it is simply a matter of typing in the (usually) alpha letters (some may be alpha-numeric, like cardinal latitude/longitude points. i.e., "N20 W30", etc).

But, all this aside, it is far more advanced in terms of training and operational knowledge than the hijackers had, and all they needed to know was basic A/P functions. The use of the A/P is evident on both SSFDRs recovered (AAL 77 and UAL 93). I can't link url addresses yet (need 15 posts) but...hmmm, if I leave extra spaces, let's try:

He might believe he is making a real Vg diagram. Balsamo finds a prop plane training Vg diagram, photo shops the speeds. Claims it is a 767 Vg diagram and believes it.

Not the first time science and Balsamo failed to communicate.

Balsamo has an overall lack of knowledge. He uses misspellings, hearsay and errors as a foundation to build fantasy.

Thanks beachnut.I knew that P4T as an organisation was more explicitly dishonest than AE911. But I rarely pay much attention to the "aviation' aspects of 9/11 because the two central claims are so obviously false (The planes did end up where they accepted narrative says AND there was neither window of opportunity NOR basis for a legitimate decision to "shoot-down".)

But 'til now I had not realised how little understanding of physics Balsamo possessed.

Always have been. The place hinges solely on the ego of Balsamo, and as is shown repeatedly, he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and seems to possibly suffer from some sort of mental illness (though, I certainly am not medically qualified to make a valid assessment in that field).

IIRC, some steam is used to increase the "draw" through the firebox. Iirc, it's injected into the stack and it somehow increases the amount of airflow.

Correct - the space under the stack ("chimney") houses an updraft venturi which draws the airflow through the firebox.

Balsamo's primary tactic of debate is personal denigration of anyone who opposes him. And most of his posting "projects" his own shortcomings onto anyone opposing him - a level of offensive personal attack rarely seen on this forum.

I still get frustrated that the US language censor seems designed to handicap Aussies but faeces (see what I mean? ) it gets boring typing out alternate versions:
Starting with the Great Aussie adjective for something that resembles a haemoglobin rich bodily fluid; OR
needing to suggest that someone's parents were not married at the time they were conceived OR
suggesting that someone should relocate to a place named after a form of sexual congress between consenting adults which was a criminal offence in most of our legal jurisdictions until quite recent times. And that one used as the theme of a Toyota commercial.

Then a typical bit of Aussie conversation is probably unintelligible to anyone from another country except a bleeding Kiwi. And I wont mention sheep.
