Priebus out...

IMHO Mooch will outlast Kelly.....

I doubt it. The Mooch is sucking up to Trump so the sale of his business goes through. He needs the administration to OK the sale so he can collect on 85 million dollars.

Trump thrives on chaos but not personal confrontation. He talks behind people's back. He likes them twisting in the wind. The Mooch is a hurricane that will soon be over. I kind of think Trump has wanted to fire Priebus, Spicer and maybe even O'Bannon forva while and bringing on the Mooch made it unbearable for those two. Trump is probably laughing about Scaramucci but this guy doesn't have the patience to work in the Oval long term.

What is interesting is the story that Preibus has told Ryan that the goal is to eliminate from the White House all those whose primary loyalty is to the GOP,and replace them with people whose only loyalty is to Trump'basically set up a White House totally independent of any party outside of Donald Trump.
If true, then it's impeachment time......

3 Chief of Staffs in less than 3 years of being President: Part of the reason why @BarackObama can't manage to pass his agenda." DJT, January 10, 2012

No comment necessary.....

This really is a reality TV show.

A headline from a Gail Collins(?) column keeps going through my head: "The Warp Speed Presidency." It's only been six months.

ETA: Donal Trump once tweeted: "3 Chief of Staffs in less than 3 years of being President: Part of the reason why @BarackObama can't manage to pass his agenda."

And that is an interesing data point.
Everybody was watching Priebus very closely - expecting some move by some side any time.
Then he resigned yesterday.
And the first hint anybody got was realdonaldtrum tweeting.

In between, Kelly has been interviewed - etc.

And all of this without a further leak - and Trump's tweets were actually relatively stately and measured, in comparison.

Just who organized this communication feat?? ;)
Update*, he resigned just after the health care bill failed.

*No guarantee this is correct.

Looks to me like Priebus tied his fortune to the bill, or maybe Trump told him it was up to him to get the GOP legislators in line.

As for the planning, Huckabee-Sanders said it had been in the works for 2 weeks. Maybe Trump had no confidence in the heath bill passing, who knows. Or maybe the timing of the resignation was either not true or a coincidence or maybe if the bill passed Priebus planned to make a pitch for his job.

Who knows.

Months too late. Still has the stink of Toupee Fiasco all over him...

Exactly. Obama can't replace Chiefs of Staff at anything like the speed Trump can.

This just shows that Trump is a strong leader.

Which, assuming you're serious, is at this point a very bad thing. A charismatic leader can move his/her people anywhere. But one also needs to be vaguely informed about the issues and processes in place. Otherwise, you're just leading you people directly off a cliff.

You're replying to Cain, so this seems like a real rookie mistake for a veteran moderator. ;)

Wolf Blitzer: "Were you the leaker?"
Priebus: "Wolf, come on. Give me a break. I'm not gonna get into his..."
Blitzer: "Why not? Why not respond to his [Scaramucci's]...?"
Priebus: "Because I'm not going to. Because it doesn't honor the President. I'm gonna honor the President every day. blah blah blah"

Hehehehehe ahhh hahaha hahahahaha

What a mess this WH is in.

Well at the rate he is going, he will run out of lackeys... there will be no-one to lead.

Trump's biggest problem in this regard, IMO, is that he still has yet to figure out that you cannot run a COUNTRY the same way that you run a BUSINESS; being the President of a COUNTRY is not the same as being a CEO of your own small to mid-sized BUSINESS.

As an owner CEO, you have all the power to make Policy, and if members of the board disagree with you, they can resign or get fired. You just cannot do that as President, and expect to stay President for long.

hmmm, that has a familiar ring to it. Reminds me of something I was reading about just recently, which happened in 1934 shortly after the dissolution of the Weimar Republic... something about long knives, I just cant recall! :D
