Angry Trumpkins attack Canadian theatre in a blind rage.

When Riane Leonard finished*running the lights for Friday's performance of The Toxic Avenger*at Hamilton Theatre Inc., she checked her phone and saw reams of notifications.

Leonard, who is a member of the theatre company's production team, also manages the Twitter account for the theatre company based on MacNab Street North in Hamilton, Ont.

"Dozens of angry Americans*tagged the Hamilton theatre company's*Twitter account (@HamiltonTheatre) instead of the official*Hamilton*musical account (@HamiltonMusical)," Leonard told CBC News.

But the ethics experts eyeing Trump’s empire are now warning of many others [conflicts of interest], found among a vast assortment of foreign business interests never before seen in past presidencies. At least 111 Trump companies have done business in 18 countries and territories across South America, Asia and the Middle East, a Washington Post analysis of Trump financial filings shows.

The business interests range from sprawling, ultraluxury real estate complexes to one-man holding companies and branding deals in Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Panama and other countries, including some where the United States maintains sensitive diplomatic ties.

Some companies reflect long-established deals while others were launched as recently as Trump’s campaign, including eight that appear tied to a potential hotel project in Saudi Arabia, the oil-rich Arab kingdom that Trump has said he “would want to protect.”

The UK government is considering inviting US President-elect Donald Trump for a state visit, Downing Street has said.

Earlier this year, MPs debated the idea of banning Mr Trump from the UK.

But the government has stressed the importance of maintaining the "special relationship" between the countries.

State visits are formal trips to the UK by foreign heads of state from overseas. There are usually two a year and invitations are sent on the advice of the Foreign Office.

The Queen acts as host, with the visitor usually staying either at Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle.

Visits normally begin with a ceremonial welcome attended by The Queen and other senior members of the Royal Family, while a State Banquet is held in his or her honour.

Mr Trump's predecessor, Barack Obama, made a state visit to the UK in April. He was accorded the same honour in 2011.

What can Trump learn from a wrestler and an action hero?

Two modern governors who used their fame as a springboard to public office could serve as guides - and cautionary tales.

Dean Barkley remembers what professional-wrestler-turned-politician Jesse Ventura said moments after learning that he had won his upstart independent bid to be governor of Minnesota in 1998.

"Now what the hell do we do?"

The lustre of the outsider delivered powerful public office to Mr Schwarzenegger, as it did Mr Ventura, but the grind of governing eventually brought both men down to political bedrock.

Wouldn't take much instruction for Trump to surpass Obama. Not that Obama's sycophants in Britain gave a crap.

And you think those are gaffes worth being 'absolutely appalled' by?

Trump has shown throughout his campaign that he is ill-informed about a great many things. There's plenty of evidence to suggest that he doesn't read books, ever, and gets all of his information from tv news or twitter retweets.
There's also plenty to suggest that he doesn't place much effort on preparations.

It will absolutely take plenty of instruction, wasted effort imo, for Trump to ever come close to looking as dignified a president as Obama has been. The only way he doesn't come off looking like a buffoon on a royal visit is if he says little or nothing. But that's not how Trump operates because he doesn't believe he's being an idiot when he's being an idiot. I guess we'll see.

Can you share that **** you're smoking. Not going to happen except in your fevered dreams.

Yea, I don't buy she's going to run again. Her political career is effectively over. She was the frontrunner twice and lost both times and she would be 74. The Democrats KNOW they need new blood. I'd almost bet that both parties will be looking for new standard bearers in 4 years.

Trump may tire of the gig and 4 more years of his shtick and what will certainly be a string of broken promises will have been enough for everyone.

He may tire of the gig but I'm not at all sure that his supporters will have tired of him not least because any failure to deliver on his part will, IMO, be blamed on Obama, the Democratic Party, foreigners or pretty much anything apart from Trump.

Fox, Breibart and so on will lap it up, the major networks will take a view that negative Trump stories don't sell and will quit covering them which will leave the likes of MSNBC and the WaPo to cover it to their smallish audience.

Perhaps the first couple of Trump "failures to deliver" may generate some coverage but as soon as it becomes same-old same-old, the public will lose interest which means the networks won't bother to report it.
