Phelps Organizing Protest of Obama's Grandmother's FUNERAL

I guess you're trying to be clever because you don't have evidence of any sort. The funny thing is you just keep making yourself look like an Equus asinus

:dl:

You're the one pretending there can be an objective way of measuring literary allusions and harassing me about it, and I'm the stubborn fool?

Back to the topic. I can't find the date of the service anywhere, and it must have already happened by now. Perhaps they just didn't get the money up to fly to Hawaii. Or maybe they figure that just releasing the press release was good enough P.R. for them.

The one and only time I can truly wish that the God of the New Testament existed is in imaging Phelps brought up in front of it when he dies.

Personally, I'd go for the one portrayed in Dante's Inferno. Which level of Hell d'suppose Phelps would end up on?

According to this test, it's the fifth level:

The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx.

Sounds like the Phelps clan to me.

ETA: Of course, there is a chance due to their Bible-believing ways that they would just end up in Purgatory, but they also scored high on the Violent and Treacherous levels. So if they did end up in Purgatory, it's going to be awhile.

In C.S. Lewis' The Great Divorce, they'd never make it to heaven because they'd be too busy chasing people around the dark city streets, condemning them to hell.

What a party his funeral will be - I suggest a gay parade :)

Why not schedule one for every event at which Phelps will be present, including his normal church services? I'm sure many cities would gladly issue a permit for a parade that circled his formation during any funeral. It wouldn't even require closing a street.

Nah, you actually have to repent your sins to end up in Purgatory. That's the main difference between Purgatory and Hell, those in Hell don't actually feel repentence. /Nerd mode.

Since Phelps and his crew think their God is telling them to be hateful asses, I can't imagine that they ever have any doubts about what they are doing.

They need to crush some tinfoil on their antennae, cause their picking up the wrong signals.
