Rick Perry's family hunting camp in Paint Creek, TX was (is?) named ******head. Take away the "head" and you have the N word.

According to the WA Post, Perry was an owner leaser of this property while it had this name, a name that was prominently painted on a large (rock) sign.

I know it can be silly and difficult but remember the n-word has to be completely masked here.

Big deal. Obama went to the Church of Deadwhitey before he hoped and changed. :D

Moderated content masked.

He didn't own the property, he leased it. I'm not defending his actions or inactions, but I believe in calling a spade a spade.

Seeing as there's an actual point in here :) regardless if you intended to make it:

Good thing Obama clarified that he's not a black nationalist.

Good thing too that Perry clarified that he found the name of the camp offensive, and that he asked that the sign be painted over. Except that he lied, according to the Post.

I don't much like Perry (and don't know much) but I don't get the feeling that he personally is racist. Just a hunch.

Gee, one would think a fine, upstanding man so full of "Christian morals and values" as Perry is would be morally opposed to hunting on land with a name like that.

I am certain Perry is full of something but I do not believe it what what are supposed to be xtian morals and values (turning the other cheek, not speaking ill of your neighbor, doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, providing for the poor and needy, not being or supporting usurers..... (not a complete list, but one that makes the point that neither Perry or the Tea Baggers are xtians under any bible defined meaning of that term).

I have way more xtian values than those piles of fecal matter - the only one I miss is the claimed (by them) belief in their big sky guy.

You would think that someone aspiring to political office would be smarter. . .

But when it displayed the name ******head, Perry was a Democrat, so it was no handicap to his political career.

Not so fast. He switched parties in '89 and...
WA Post said:
... the seven who said they saw the rock said the block-lettered name was clearly visible at different points in the 1980s and 1990s. One, a former worker on the ranch, believes he saw it as recently as 2008.

Well it was better than his other option: Crackerface.

That would have been racist and misogynistic.

I don't see this as that big of a deal. The place seemed to have the name when he got there and didn't think to change it because.......what was the point?

I remember reading Texas has lots of locations on old maps with the N word on it, like ******run creek that have never been changed.

Perry, being a USAF alum, ought to have been calling it cooncranium. (To be consistent, and if he called it anything at all ...)

It demonstrates a mind-boggling degree of tone-deafness, seeing as he was an elected official. And if the reporting holds up, he'll also have a cover-up to explain. (A cover-up of a non cover-up.)
